Insta Friday

Word up, it’s Friday.  Everyone is feeling way better today…praise Jesus.  I dare say we may all even be back to our 100% stomach virus free selves.  I thoroughly enjoyed all the emails and comments about kids puking in cars.  Completely hilarious.  Thanks for making me feel so much better.  I especially loved our friend Chris’ comment on Facebook, “And the smell of puke in a car as it gets warm in the sun.”  Well, that made things way better.  Bring on the hot weather.

So it’s Insta Friday.  I know you are all on the edge of your seats…I kid.  I know I’m kind of a big dork…I’m cool with that.  I’m pitterpatterart if you want to check out my crazy feed during the week.

Harper asked if I would make her a special shirt for The Color Run.  Done and done.  I adore this rainbow chevron fabric by Riley Blake.

I kind of love these before The Color Run pictures.  I think my favorite part is Huddy doing the double bird shooting guns.  I haven’t quite figured out why but, he does a lot of pointing with his middle fingers and dances with his middle fingers waving in the air or bobbing up and down.  It’s kind of awesome.

I finished up my 70 miles on Easter.  It was no easy feat.  Harper ran with me…in the rain.  This month I was shooting for 60 miles because life is a bit crazy for April, but then after the week we just had, I’m dropping it to 50.  So far I’m off to a zero miles start.  Dang you stomach virus.  We’ll see how it goes.

This guy.  I like him.

Even though he wasn’t feeling well, he was a great post office assistant.  It resulted in a sucker from Mrs. Betty our favorite post office lady.  She’s good to us.

Sol was a bit baffled as to what to do home alone with only Amon.  He ended up missing everyone and so he made them all mail.  He’s a good one.

Amon believes only is long, slobbery, open-mouthed kisses.  They’re amazingly stellar.

Huddy is a beast.  He is so funny and fun and creative and has the kindest heart and went completely untouched by the stomach virus.  We were all miserable and there he was right in the middle…just being Huddy.

So you wake up looking pretty H.O.T when you puke your guts up the day & night before.  Hot to the hotness.  For sure.  I have no shame.

I found this note under my pillow.  Oh, just from “Somebody”…aka Harper Kelley.  I like her.

Amon was super pleased as he sat and just waved to himself.  Totally cracked me and himself up.  #easilyentertained

This is my new baby cousin Graham.  Rockin’ that anchor hat hard and cute.  Picture taken by Kristen Reed out of Memphis, Tn.  Thanks for sharing with me Rebecca.

And this morning Harper went to school and I went to the post office.  If you’ve been waiting on a package, it’s on the way.  Thank you for your patience.  You can be sure if I’m at the post office before 7am I am usually rockin’ my Toms and jams or running gear.  Keeping it classy.

Now I think I’ll do something a little crazy like take a shower and put on some clothes that are not PJs and maybe, just maybe, fix my hair and put on makeup too…I’m feeling extra crazy today.

Hope you have an amazing weekend.  Thank you so much for reading.  I completely appreciate it…you guys are too nice for even stopping by.

Happy Friday.

Insta Friday

Today is Harper’s birthday + Good Friday.  Makes for kind of a stellar day.  I’m sure I’ll be blowing my Instagram feed up with this lovely little 6-year-old lady.  She’s my sanity and love.  She makes my day.  Come check us out at pitterpatterart

I know two little boys who are going to be pumped to find Darth and Yoda in their Easter bucket.  Star Wars for Easter…it’s just how we roll.

He’s kind of got this crazy cool swaggar going on.  I fear the teenage years.

Prepping for our birthday week.  We gave Amon a little walker for his birthday on Monday and then he took his first steps on Tuesday.  I’d say we totally got our $20 money worth.

I would like to re-live his birthday over and over and over again.  He is just delightful.

This was our waiter for lunch one day.  I thought he was pretty cute.

He studies and examines everything.  He could look at books for days.  I really love this about him.

I found the kids man handling this dead mole.  Huddy was super empathic when I told him the mole was dead…”Well now he just looks sad.” and “But he was so furry.”  The best part was when I said, “Why did you pick up a dead mole?”…Harper’s reply, “Well we didn’t know it was a dead mole, we just thought it was poop.”  OH.WOW.  Well that makes it all better.

I’ll admit it.  This kid completely melts me…and I’m totally okay with that.

3 days left…I can do it.  #70miles

Birthday prep for a girl who adores color.  That’s my kind of girl.

Harper’s 6th birthday door.  My most favorite one we’ve done for her yet.  Her exact words, “This is awesome.”  She has my heart.

She asked for donuts for breakfast.  Boom.  Can’t believe I now have a 6-year-old.  Say it ain’t so.  I feel too blessed by this lady kid.  She’s the best.

Birthday cake.  She requested a big chocolate cake with cream cheese frosting and “lots and lots of sprinkles”.  Ask and you shall receive.  #nosuchthingastoomanysprinkles  That’s my girl.

Hope you have an incredible Easter weekend.  So thankful for a Savior who defeated death, took on my nasty sins and saved the world.  That’s a mad kind of love.

Happy Friday!

Insta Friday

Crazy day…again, but super happy it’s Friday.  Excited tomorrow is my Saturday Sale.  I have 10 canvases that will be up for sale and tonight I’m going to try and bust out a bunch of key fob love.  My sewing machine knows how to treat a lady right on a Friday night.

Sale will begin at 4pm central.  All the items will be posted under the “Currently Available” tab above.  Price and size will be posted with each piece.  You may purchase as many pieces as your sweet heart desires :) Just send me an email using the “Contact Laura” button above and let me know which piece or pieces you would like.  These will go first come, first email.  Once the sale starts I’ll hang around my computer pretty steadily and get back with people as quickly as possible and will also update the page letting others know which items have sold and which items are still available.  I think that about wraps up the details.  Hope to “see” you tomorrow.

Now onto my Insta Friday.  A weeks worth of my crazy Instagram.  I’m pitterpatterart.

Sunny, warm, outside lunches may be the best kind of lunches around.  We are sooooo ready for warm spring weather to come…and stay.

I cried.  Like multiple times and really really hard.  So incredibly proud of her.  Cannot wait to see her piece.

He’s trying to keep up already.  Sweet boy.

New cleats.  They literally stayed clean for about 2 hours…seriously, only 2 hours.  Now they are covered in mud.

I’ve been on a hiatus from sweets.  I even resisted Harper’s Funfetti cupcakes.  If you even remotely know me…you know this is absurd.  I have the biggest sweet tooth ever.  But it’s been really good for me.  Ashley did it with me, so it’s been nice to have some accountability.  I think I’m going to try and do a “no sweets during the week, then reasonable sweets on the weekend” kind of thing.  Today I celebrated my no sweet success with a Snickers egg.  Delish.

This picnic went terribly wrong apparently.  #boysarehilarious

Cartoon mouthed Amon.  Such a funny boy.  He was busy this week too.  Several doctors visits…getting to the bottom of things.  It feels good to like and trust the doctors who are working hard for your kiddo.

Don’t judge.  I thought long and hard about this decision and then did it.  And boy am I glad I did.  A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.  And yes, you are totally entitled to use all capital letters to type out your love for Cheddar Jalapeno Cheetos.  Totally normal.

Their love is really quite lovely.

We have a sick ace of hearts.  He’s pitiful.  Having to just let the funk run it’s course.  Love his sweet little hand with every fiber of myself.  LOVE!

Balance.

“Let’s try and clang our teeth together” said Huddy to Sol.  Enough said.

A blurry baby, but a standing blurry baby at that.  I can’t wait to see him walk.

And we Easter partied hard today.  Excited for spring break.

Hope you have an amazingly grand weekend.  Hope to “see” you tomorrow at 4.  Thanks so much for stopping by and reading.  I completely appreciate it.  You guys are crazy cool.

Happy Friday.

Insta Friday

Welcome Friday, it’s so good to see you.  Pretty stoked for our weekend and our regular Friday pizza and movie night.  Insta Friday is in full swing.  You can find me at pitterpatterart.

Even Green Lantern has to do chores in the Kelley house…and he does them well.

Amon so very badly wanted in Harper’s room, but they were playing with an ungodly amount of pennies.  Poor boy just laid there and stared under the doorway.  Every now and then Harper, Huddy and Sol would stick there hands out for him.

It’s not always guns or knives or swords…sometimes it’s just an axe kind of day.

He is the sweetest cuddler ever.  Ever, ever, ever.

Harper and Sol were really into playing hairdresser with my hair…which is actually my most favorite game ever.  I love having my hair played with.  While I was getting a new hairdo, Huddy brought me some “stew” and an axe, you know, just in case I needed an axe.

Sharpie hand reminders are an absolute necessity.  Our pediatrician calls it my “palm pilot”.  Ba-dum dum ching.

Double pink.  The skies parted and the sun shown down and a choir of angels sang a sweet tune.  Double pinks = God’s favor 🙂

Literacy night at MCE was so fun.  I absolutely adore our school.

We may have read every single Star Wars book we have…twice.  The force is definitely strong with these two.

Snickerdoodles.  The End.

My friend Karen got engaged.  Her ring is off the hook.  Karen is just so nice and delightful and deserved a little celebratory toast.  Ahhhhh, so thrilled for you Kare Bear.  PS:  The baby only had milk.

I see this picture everyday and it always makes me smile.  Maybe my most favorite Josh and Harper picture.

Ace of Hearts for days.

Yep.  Those two are mine.  I get to be their mom.  Try not to be too jealous.  Their pretty crazy rad.

And today we’re working on race signs for Josh’s 1/2 marathon tomorrow.  They told me exactly what to write for their signs…Sol’s may be my favorite.

That’s all I’ve got.  Thanks so much for stopping by and reading my little piece of the internet.  Hope you’re weekend is crazy good.

Happy Friday.

Insta Friday

The weekend could not be more welcomed people.  This week was one that put me through the ringer.  I greeted Friday waving my big white surrender flag and will gladly take a slow uneventful weekend please.  All the Kelleys..big and wee could use it.

And are you on Instagram yet?  I am.  It’s kind of my most favorite app.  I’m pitterpatterart.  Here is my Instagram love from this week.

My boys are so innovative.  Ha.  This is how they get a drink of water after brushing their teeth.

Harper is officially a wee Kelley runner.  Girl has got some running legs on her and it is so much fun to run right along side her…or behind her.  Kid is fast.

While my mixer worked its magic, Amon cheered it on.  I could not quit laughing at him.  He was a very serious clapper for the Kitchen Aid

Reece’s cupcakes cupcake toppers.  Swoon.

Delaney’s digs.  I wish we could do her shower all over again.  So fun.

Huddy’s remote control knife.  I mean, who doesn’t need a remote control knife.  Brilliance.

Maybe the World’s Greatest Instagram Picture ever.  Like ever, ever, ever.  I love kindergarten.  And…you’re welcome.

I still have these extra afternoon running partners two days a week.  I kind of like them.

The first CD I ever bought.  I’m mad I didn’t purchase it again.  I know every lyric to every single song.  #wasobsessed

So long February…62+ done and over with.  Ready for March.  70 miles here I come.

And any day…especially a Friday…that is greeted with this dude just cannot turn out bad.  CANNOT!

Here’s to a grand weekend.  Hope it is nothing short of amazing and just perfectly perfect for you.

Happy Friday.

Insta Friday

Here we are again.  It’s Friday.  I’m glad…you’re glad too..I just know it.  And yes, another installment of Insta Friday.  Without further ado…a weeks worth of Instagram pics.  I’m pitterpatterart.

My boys are strange little specimens.  They do and think up the strangest things and I often wonder if it’s just my boys that are so weird.  I think it might be “boys” in general though.

Gold is back yo.  Just imagine these filled with all different shades of orange and pink flowers…I think it’s going to be lovely.

In the Kelley house we have chores you do just because you are a member of the family and then we have extra chores you can do to earn a little moola.  This is one of their chores they do just to help out.

I use to chew the fire out of this stuff as a kid.  One of my favorites.  Jackpot finding it in the Target $1 bin.

Key fob heaven.

We’re officially all 80-year-olds…and loven’ it.

It was a very Happy President’s Day to us.

The sweetest and littlest wee Kelley.  His cardiologist is smitten with him and he totally rocked it.  Best.Baby.Ever.

They decided they wanted to purchase something with their own money.  Narrowing down a book choice is very difficult.

Sol ended up purchasing a Stormtrooper “Barbie”.  Who knew these existed.  Made me laugh out loud.

Still running my way to 62 miles this month.  Just a few days left.  The other morning it was a whopping 27 degrees….super, crazy cold…and I might have robbed a few people.

They always want to do silly faces.  Always.

Baby comb overs are pretty rad.  It makes me take him much more seriously.

Harper had an early morning bath this morning because I’m not even going to tell you how long it had been.

And today was an all day bake-a-thon.  Two Gooey Butter Cakes, a batch of Brownie Oreo Cookie Cups and a whole slew of sugar cookies for Courtney’s shower.  It was a good day…a very good day indeed.

Hope your day was good too.  Enjoy your weekend.

Happy Friday!

Insta Friday

It’s Friday people and the weekend is always welcomed.  I’ve got some crafty plans to make happen and I’m pretty excited about them.  Other than that, not much is on our weekend agenda…I love when that happens.  I love low key, not very busy weekends.  And for Insta Friday, I present to you the craziness that is my Instagram feed.  I’m pitterpatterart.  Enjoy.

Wee Kelleys unrolling an entire roll of toilet paper did not sit well with this momma.  They each had to pay me $1 out of their piggy banks.  They were heartbroken.  I don’t think they will be unrolling toilet paper rolls anymore.  Lesson learned.

Amon puked his ever loven’ guts up last Friday night for about 3 hours.  It was P.I.T.I.F.U.L.  Nothing says super sad, like a dry heaving baby on your bedroom floor.  The next day, he was good to go.

Key fobs for daaaayyysss! (all sold)

Huddy makes paper guns and/or knives and/or any other type of weapon 99.9% of his time.

Krogers Valentines Day prep.

His eyelashes.  Any woman would kill for them.  I’m resisting the urge to slather them in mascara.  They would be the bomb.

This canvas headed to Lindy this week…this crazy amazing, totally boss lady.  You can read her story HERE.  I can’t really encourage you enough to read about Lindy and her sweet husband Chad and her crazy sweet little boy Beren.  You will be blessed.  Like their page, pray for their family and if you feel led, donate to their medical fund.  I find myself thinking of Lindy every single day now as I do my daily mom thing.  God is using this woman.  #believeinLindy

I went to the post office at 4:50am before my run one day this week.  Ummmm, the post office that early in the morning is TOTALLY creepers.  Like totally, totally creepers.

Be still my cupcake themed baby shower heart.  Cupcake liner garland.  Insert big lovely sigh.

Bad hair days are clearly real days for babies too.  It reminds me of Nick Nolte’s mug shot.  You know the one.

At least one day a week every seat in our van is filled and I find myself laughing out loud because literally I cannot hear myself think.  Love these crazy kiddos.

I like her.  The end.

This is, no joke, only half of Huddy’s paper gun collection.  I threw away so many paper guns yesterday while he was in school.  And this does not include his paper knife and other various paper weapons collection.  I sent Josh a picture and hash tagged it #shouldwebeworried.  He replied with #everyoneelseshouldbeworried.  I laughed so hard I cried.

And not to be partial, but this was probably my most favorite valentine from yesterday.  This kid kills me.

That wraps up another Insta Friday.  Thanks for stopping by and reading my little crazy quirky piece of the internet.  Hope you have an incredibly grand weekend.

Happy Friday!

Insta Friday

I’m on a roll people…this is like 5…maybe just 4 Insta Fridays in a roll.  A culmination of my Instagram pics over the last week.  I’m pitterpatterart if you want to follow along.

Silly faces are always the best faces.

The wee Kelleys are totally old people when it comes to their cereal selections…Life, Cheerios and Raisin Bran.  At least the Cheerios were honey nut.  I’m sure their fiber intake is superb.

I’ve been having to go through old childhood items.  Can I get a what, what for my hippie turtle candle.  Josh Kelley and I will probably light this baby tonight along with some incense and then turn on our black light and enjoy our Pink Floyd poster.  Memories.

Amon’s most favorite spot.  Too fun pulling in the driveway and seeing his sweet little face.

Speaking of sweet face…there are no words…I’m done.  He wins.

I’ve been working on getting my creative area cleaned up and organized.  This is the aftermath of last Saturday’s sale.

My lunch date…every day.

If I had known just how happy and how clean her room would stay now…I would have bought her a desk a long time ago.  A desk…who knew?

After bath Amon is the more serious and refined Amon.

“Make Your Own Salad” night is maybe my most favorite meal to make.  Instructions:  Tear up lettuce and put toppings such as croutons, carrots, cheese, broccoli, chicken, eggs, etc in different bowls.  Assemble your own.  The end.

Someone asked about how I keep up with my running so precisely.  I have two ways…I have a gps watch that keeps it for me or I use the Map My Run app a reader recommended to me.  Love both of them.

I picked up two new running partners this week.  They’re pretty fun…I just may keep them.

Happiness is Chuck E Cheese for your birthday.

Happiness is Chuck E Cheese for your birthday…with Amon.

BTW…we use online coupons at CC to keep the cost low.  Also each kid is signed up for birthday jazz, so they get a coupon for like 20 tokens free for their birthday.

Sol asked for Transformer cupcakes for his birthday.  I really thought he was going to pick cookies and I had this grand idea for Transformer cookies and then he went with cupcakes.  So what’s a mom in a pinch supposed to do?  How about buy a $1.99 pack of Transformer pencil sharpeners, top those cupcakes off and call it a day.  And Sol is thrilled.

I’ve never told him before, but the #1 reason I married Josh Kelley was for his mad birthday door skillz.  He had me at “I’m a pretty good drawer.”

Our tradition is they can have anything their little birthday heart desires for breakfast on their big day.  Sol requested ice cream sundaes.  He’s my kind of man.

A little McDonalds for lunch with my guys.  Amon decided to rock a collar today for Sol’s birthday.

And this may be my all time favorite Instagram picture ever.  It is just sooooooo them.  And I love that today has been one filled with so much fun and adoration for Solomon.  He is truly a special and crazy amazing little boy.  We are incredibly blessed to be his Mom & Dad.

Have a great weekend.  Happy Friday.
