Sneak Peek

Sorry I’m so late posting the winner for my summer giveaway.  Today got away from me in the best kind of way.  Yes, swimming…again.  Am I rubbing it in at this point…two swim days in…we’re pretty dang good at this summer break thing.  Don’t be a hater.

So that’s why I’m so late posting.  And the winner of the giveaway is Cindy…comment #77.  Cindy, check your email for a message from me.

And how about a sneak peek of some items for this Fridays Sale because I just don’t have anything else to chat about today…that’s what summer does to you…and another fun, sun soaking pool day.

Happy Tuesday.

Insta Friday

Crazy day…again, but super happy it’s Friday.  Excited tomorrow is my Saturday Sale.  I have 10 canvases that will be up for sale and tonight I’m going to try and bust out a bunch of key fob love.  My sewing machine knows how to treat a lady right on a Friday night.

Sale will begin at 4pm central.  All the items will be posted under the “Currently Available” tab above.  Price and size will be posted with each piece.  You may purchase as many pieces as your sweet heart desires :) Just send me an email using the “Contact Laura” button above and let me know which piece or pieces you would like.  These will go first come, first email.  Once the sale starts I’ll hang around my computer pretty steadily and get back with people as quickly as possible and will also update the page letting others know which items have sold and which items are still available.  I think that about wraps up the details.  Hope to “see” you tomorrow.

Now onto my Insta Friday.  A weeks worth of my crazy Instagram.  I’m pitterpatterart.

Sunny, warm, outside lunches may be the best kind of lunches around.  We are sooooo ready for warm spring weather to come…and stay.

I cried.  Like multiple times and really really hard.  So incredibly proud of her.  Cannot wait to see her piece.

He’s trying to keep up already.  Sweet boy.

New cleats.  They literally stayed clean for about 2 hours…seriously, only 2 hours.  Now they are covered in mud.

I’ve been on a hiatus from sweets.  I even resisted Harper’s Funfetti cupcakes.  If you even remotely know me…you know this is absurd.  I have the biggest sweet tooth ever.  But it’s been really good for me.  Ashley did it with me, so it’s been nice to have some accountability.  I think I’m going to try and do a “no sweets during the week, then reasonable sweets on the weekend” kind of thing.  Today I celebrated my no sweet success with a Snickers egg.  Delish.

This picnic went terribly wrong apparently.  #boysarehilarious

Cartoon mouthed Amon.  Such a funny boy.  He was busy this week too.  Several doctors visits…getting to the bottom of things.  It feels good to like and trust the doctors who are working hard for your kiddo.

Don’t judge.  I thought long and hard about this decision and then did it.  And boy am I glad I did.  A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.  And yes, you are totally entitled to use all capital letters to type out your love for Cheddar Jalapeno Cheetos.  Totally normal.

Their love is really quite lovely.

We have a sick ace of hearts.  He’s pitiful.  Having to just let the funk run it’s course.  Love his sweet little hand with every fiber of myself.  LOVE!

Balance.

“Let’s try and clang our teeth together” said Huddy to Sol.  Enough said.

A blurry baby, but a standing blurry baby at that.  I can’t wait to see him walk.

And we Easter partied hard today.  Excited for spring break.

Hope you have an amazingly grand weekend.  Hope to “see” you tomorrow at 4.  Thanks so much for stopping by and reading.  I completely appreciate it.  You guys are crazy cool.

Happy Friday.

Saturday Sale + Orders

So just a little update…I will be having another Saturday Sale this Saturday, March 23.  Still working on the time and will totally let you know once I get it nailed down.  I was hoping to have a ton more items up for sale, but it may be a smaller amount just because this week has already turned into one I’m not too fond of 🙂  But it happens.

Also I will be opening up 10 custom order spots on April 1st.  I do not keep a running wait order list, so once I post the available spots and they are spoken for, they are gone.  If you are interested in a custom order spot, please only claim one if you are really going to place an order 🙂 Again, those will be posted on April 1st.

Here are three new canvases that will be up sale on Saturday.

11×14 “Grateful” Sunflower canvas

8×10 “Rise and Shine and give God the glory” rooster canvas

8×10 “The peace that passes understanding is my song” canvas

And just because he’s kind of too cute not to share with the interwebs.  He’ll be one soon.  Good golly, where did time go?!?!  He continues to wow and amaze us and it’s honestly a total, incredible honor to be his mom…same goes for those other three wee Kelleys too though.

Happy Tuesday!

PS:  Did you read THIS yet?  If you haven’t, you definitely should.  “…because one day we’ll both discover we got some parts right and other parts wrong.  Jesus’ mercy is going to be enough for us all.”  Can I get a big Amen?

Insta Friday + Saturday Sale Details

I’ve been working like crazy and getting everything ready for tomorrow’s sale.  There will be 11 canvases up for grabs along with several key fob sets.  The sale will begin at 6pm central time.  I don’t like having the sale so late on a Saturday, but Josh is working tomorrow, so this was the time that worked best.

Now for Insta Friday…all my crazy, random Instagram photos from the week.  I’m pitterpatterart if you want to follow along.  Btw:  Josh Kelley just got an iPhone, so I am super excited that he is going to be on Instagram.  Now I just have to talk him into getting the app and participating.

Huddy is my stresser kid.  Things just stress him out…like the possibility of bears in our backs yard or when Amon eats a piece of paper…you would have thought the kid put a knife in his mouth by Huddy’s reaction.  Also movies.  I was cracking up watching him watch a Ninja Turtles movie.  Love him.

Amon would make a crazy pretty girl.  Gosh.

I easily blow my Instagram feed up with his sweet face.  It’s kind of hard to resist.

Sol and Huddy have these metal lunchboxes where they keep all their special treasures.  “Treasures” translates to acorns, Chuck E Cheese tokens, sunglasses, baseball cards, headlamps…you get the picture.  I was in their room the other day and noticed Sol’s box open and this sweet button of Sol and Grammy right on top.  My kids miss her like crazy and struggle some days.  We have Harper in some grief counseling right now and she really likes it.  When I thought about someone dying before I never realized how deep and wide spread it affects things…it touches every little piece of your life…it changes things.  I’m thanking God He’s in the business of healing and restoring.

This week was an awesome week for Amon…lots of new tricks…including pulling up in his crib.  He is changing so much and it is just an honor and pleasure to witness.  We are madly blessed.

“It’s like feeding a cow.” -Solomon Kelley

They make my heart soar.  They are best friends and goodness is this little brotherly bond tight.  I could have sat down and cried a big river when I saw them measuring who was taller in the bathroom…I don’t know if I’m going to make it…my heart can’t handle it.

Have I mentioned Courtney is preggo?  Well she is.  And she’s due in April.  I’ve been gearing up for the sweetest cupcake baby shower ever.  I cannot wait to celebrate sweet Delaney.

We had a home study with our social worker this week.  We love our social worker…she’s the best.  I wore turquoise eye shadow.  Home studies are totally appropriate times for rocken’ eye shadow.

Amon and I waiting for Coop to get out of school.  He was easily the cutest baby in the car rider line…always is.  I’m probably a bit partial though.

Artsy goal list.  I did pretty well.  Got to cross a lot of things off.

LOVE.BOTH.OF.THEM.  They make it so easy.

When Josh has to work nights I tend to only do breakfast foods for dinner.  Including an entire plate of cinnamon toast on my Aunt Martha’s homemade wheat sour dough bread.  Boom.

A crowd gathers when I blow dry my hair.

This sick kid can still bust out a killer smile.  He melts me.

Hey dude, you’ve got a puff stuck to your chest.

And my Friday got even better when Josh Kelley walked in the door at lunch with a cranberry sprite…they speak to me…they could be my love language.

Okay.  The End.  Maybe I’ll “see you” tomorrow around 6pm.  Excited to see how this sale goes.  Thank you guys for stopping by.  It’s kind of crazy cool that anyone even reads my tiny pieces of the internet.  Thank you.  For reals.  Have a grand weekend.

Happy Friday.

Long Day #2

Thank you for the teething tips.  Apparently I am going to need to find these said magic teething tablets and give them a go.  Ashley sent me this text today and right when I read it I immediately knew what she was talking about.

I’m so tired I don’t even know how old my kids are.  Amon is 10-months-old…not 9-months-old…as I stated yesterday.  At least I wasn’t like years off or anything.  Ashley got a pretty big kick out of it.  Of course she did.  {Insert raised eyebrow.}  And because I know some of you are wondering…I changed my hash tag to #parentsoftheyear

Sol is still sick.  Not sure what is up with the kid, but I kicked it at home today with just my Ethiopian dudes.  I thought he was getting better…he even worked on his birthday thank you cards.

And then when I went to run with my niece Campbell this afternoon, Sol spiked a high fever and puked his guts up at my MIL’s house.  Awesomeness.  When we got home he immediately fell asleep…again…sitting straight up.  He is all kinds of pitiful.

Amon was funny at lunch.  I couldn’t choose just one of these pics to post.  He just makes my heart super happy.

He started trying to look under and around the camera at me and it was totally cracking me up.

Harper’s school is doing a Fun Run fundraiser.  They get pledges for each lap they run and they also get prizes for the amount of pledges they bring in.  Harper got these little ditties today at school.  Rad right?

(Pic courtesy of her incredibly, amazing teacher)

I received this email today.  Yes, a fly fishing film tour can be “bad-ass”.  I may have just cracked myself up all over again.  Like, I’m laughing pretty hard.  And yes, Josh and I do go to the fly fishing film tour.  What can I say…we must be pretty BA as well 🙂

I was able to finish a few more pieces for Saturday’s sale.  I’m getting kind of excited again.  Eeeek.  I’m still working out the details…specifically the time because Josh has to work this Saturday.  I’ll let you know for sure tomorrow.

11×14 “All was well” Mumford & Sons canvas

10×10 “You’re my Sweetheart” Lumineers canvas

8×8 “Set Free” canvas

How’s that for a random post.  A little parent failure, a little puke, some cute kiddos, a little cussing and some artwork.  Sounds about right.  Hope everyone had a great day.  See you tomorrow.

  Happy Thursday.

Long Day

Today was a long day and I am T.I.R.E.D.  At this point I would like to mention how much I hate…yes, I’m using hate for this…teething.  It’s right up there with Satan himself.  Amon is just a big mess of drool and snot and throw in some inconsolable anger every now and then…and oh yeah, waking up like a wee crazy in the night.  Josh and I are zonked.  But hey, things could easily be worse, so I’ll take a teething 9-month-old easily.  Plus he does have fabulous hair.

And now my days are filled with keeping him wrangled.  He’s everywhere and into everything.  It’s so funny how in just a few days they can totally change.  I love the strides he’s made in no time.  We now have to block off the steps and forget me ever taking a peaceful shower for the next 1-2 years.  He’s right by the tub now, jerking the curtain back and creeping me out.

Oh and Sol is sick.  Boo for sick kids.  He just laid on the couch all day and slept.  He fell asleep just like this.

After we picked Harper up from school, I took them to Sonic for a little happy hour love.  Word.  I knew Sol was really sick when he only asked for a Sprite…no slushy?!?!?!  It must be something serious.

And since Sol was out of playing commission today, Huddy spent the majority of the day drawing and cutting and gluing paper weapons, which meant I got to finish up several pieces that were overdue for completion.

(2) 9×12 “This is not our home” Hebrews 13:14-15 canvas

11×14 Ragamuffin Gospel quote over maps canvas

11×14 Exodus 14:14 canvas

These will all be up for sale this Saturday on my site.  I’m hoping to have several more finished to go along with these.  The sale will be very similar to the last Saturday Sale I held…except the time will be different.  I will post all the details Friday…still working them out.

Now I’m off the get my art on and hopefully go to bed at a somewhat decent hour, only to be awakened by a pissed off teething baby just a few hours later.  Life is grand though…it really is.  Wouldn’t trade it for anything…except maybe 8 hours of sleep.  I kid.

Happy Wednesday!

Thank You Kindly

It’s Sol’s birthday week and boy is this kid excited.  The wee Kelleys love birthdays, but Sol takes the cake with his excitement and anticipation.  He’s been planning and talking about his birthday for at least 6 months.  All.The.Time.People.  He just could not be anymore excited.  I made a little day countdown for him on the board so he could keep up.  He reminds me in the morning to cross the day off.

He had his 4 year appointment Friday and Amon had a little visit too.  Our doctor is always so kind to let us knock out multiple appointments in one visit.  Sol is seriously like this little old man trapped in an about-to-be four-year-olds body.  He cracks me up every single day.

This weekend I had to go through some boxes of stuff from my childhood.  This was maybe my most favorite thing I found.  I’m almost positive that all my first cousins had them…that all our mom’s purchased them together…and then hung them in our rooms.  That frame has been painted one gazillion different colors…the paint job on it is thick…like super thick.  I love it.

Josh found a box of his stuff too that we had stored at my Mom’s.  He found this little gem that I bought for him when we were in high school.  And surprisingly, no, were not hoarders…our house is too small for us to hoard 🙂 So now we’re washing our hands with sparkly alien green Star Wars soap trying to get to Yoda.

Last night we went out for dinner.  We don’t go out very often, but I was feeling like we needed to get out…a change of pace.  We went to our favorite little Mexican restaurant.  It was fun to watch Amon soak it all in.

One thing I had completely forgotten about eating out with Huddy and Sol is you have to quickly collect the butter knives.  Should we be worried…they just love knives and swords and anything dangerously related.  It makes me laugh though.  I kind of like them.

A little reminder for me…and the rest of the Kelley crew.  I must say this or “treat others as you want to be treated” way, way, way too many time a day.  Crossing my fingers it’s sinking in.

And my first ever Saturday Sale was…well, Saturday.  I know I could never accurately express my deep deep gratitude to you guys, but I hope you really know how deep and sincere I am when I say, Thank you…truly, truly, truly Thank You.  I had no idea how something like this would go over…would some pieces be bought, would all, would none.  I literally sat on our bed over the computer as the emails rolled in and just cried.  I was so overwhelmed with God’s goodness.  And He deserves every last little bit of praise.  I am just humbled and honored and so very very thankful.

Now I’m working on getting everything packaged up and mailed off.  If you purchased something, make sure to check your email again…you should have a reply waiting from me.  And if you didn’t get a piece you were after, please know that I hate to disappoint and I will be having another sale February 9th.

And thank you again so much.  I just really cannot say that enough.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Now I’m off now to fix three little boys some lunch.

Happy Monday.

Insta Friday + Sale Info

So I’m giving my little Saturday sale idea a go tomorrow.  I’ve been working like mad…super late nights and getting stuff done.  I will tell you, tomorrow’s sale will only be canvases.  I wanted to do some key fob sets and a few camera straps, but alas, it just isn’t going to happen.  I’m finishing up several pieces today that will make a total of 18 canvases completed for the sale.  I still have 4 more I would like to make also, if time permits.

The sale will begin at 4pm central time and all the items will be posted under the “Currently Available” tab above.  I will not post each individual “Where you invest your love, you invest your life” 4×12 canvases though.  There will be 10 available and those canvases are just mailed out at random because they are so varied and so similar…lots of random color and pattern.

Price and size will be posted with each piece.  You may purchase as many pieces as your sweet heart desires 🙂 Just send me an email using the “Contact Laura” button above and let me know which piece or pieces you would like.  These will go first come, first email.  Ha.  You get it right?!?  Once the sale starts I’ll hang around my computer pretty steadily and get back with people as quickly as possible and will also update the page letting others know which items have sold and which items are still available.  So I think that about wraps it up.  Hope to “see you” tomorrow.

Alright…I give you another installment of Insta Friday…the culmination of all my Instagram photos from the week.

The most amazing unicorn I’ve ever seen.  It’s horn made me smile and blush.  I literally laughed out loud at the comment on Instagram that said, “Definitely magical.”  Insert spraying drink from my mouth.  Cracked me up.

Dude had his first Chick-fil-a.  As silly as it is to get emotional over your babies first Chick-fil-a…all I could think about was the multitude of pictures we have from Chick-fil-a with our “waiting for you” sign.  Sigh.  God is pretty amazing.

Amon is into windows big time.  He will sit for forever…just looking and banging on the window.  The kids love it when they are outside.

I love her.  She’s my sanity and my girl.  I look forward to how our relationship will grow and change and pray God will show me exactly how to handle her sweet spirit.

I call this…”Baby with Ginormous Globe.”  It’s art.

Got the sweetest jar in the mail.  Loni, you are crazy sweet.  I have the biggest thank you note I’ve ever seen sitting on my desk for you right now.  I just need a stamp.  Thank you so much Loni.

Had so much fun on a date night with a lot of great friends.  Happy early birthday Jacob!

Still running…in the most awesome shoes ever.  It’s like running on clouds.

Amon and I kind of took over Kinkos with our copy making.  The plus to going early in the morning…no one’s there yet.  Copiers all to myself.  Boom.

Getting busy…in the art department.

Seriously.  The.Best.Running.Buddy.  He’s got me…curly hair, chubby cheeks, almond eyes and all.

Mumford and Sons for days…and days…and days.

Only 14.1 left to run.  It’s in the bag.

They seriously stood there for 1 1/2 hours.  The men waved to them a lot.  They were in little boy heaven.

The best kind of way-too-early- morning-wake-you-from-a-dead-sleep-you-think-someone-has-died phone call is the one from your kids school saying there’s no school due to bad weather.  For a day off school, I’ll take the racing heart.

That’s it.  Are you on Instagram too?  I’m pitterpatterart.  Have the most amazing Friday ever and rock the weekend.

Happy Friday!
