Fridays Are My Jam

The weekend is here and everyone is feeling fine.  Friends, the sunshine and pool fun totally helps.

Amon falling asleep at the wave pool…even better.  Our saga continues.  He actually fell asleep In.The.Wave.Pool.

And why yes he can sleep sitting up while balancing on a picnic table bench.  #talented

Everyone is napping now (hallelujar), were enjoying an outdoor movie with friends tonight, I’m about to rock out some cookies & cupcakes for weekend festivities and then tomorrow is Saturday.  Things are looking up.

Hope you enjoy your weekend and soak it in.

Happy Friday.

4 Things

The weekend was very rainy, but good.  It rained the entire time and I got in zero running mileage.  I’m thinking 75 was a really bad choice 🙂  But there were movies and cheesecake…oh the cheesecake…and time with friends and birthday parties and cosmic bowling and a date with Solomon and heavy hearted discussions and tears and Bible study and Cinco de Mayo food and doughnuts and creating and just looking around and realizing that small things totally matter and God affirming in me that small things matter to Him too.

4 of my favorite things from the weekend were:

1) These 4.  And grocery shopping with these 4.  They’re so crazy…and Sol still hates the boot.  I made him ride in the cart to slow him down some.  He is clearly not pleased, but hey, what momma says, goes.

2)  Watching Harper paint a canvas.  She loves to do this and honestly, she doesn’t paint on canvases much, but she has been begging me to and she deserved some special creating time.  I love her paint loven’ heart.

3)  A date with Solomon.  Everyone else headed to our nephew’s gymnastic birthday party, so me and Sol had a little daytime date.  I adore individual time with the wee Kelleys.  He was so fun too.  We played games at Chuck E Cheese…he shot a crap load of aliens on this army/shooting game.  It was pretty intense…and awesome.  Oh and the best part was when I happened upon a ski ball game that someone had apparently loaded up with tokens…6 free games of ski ball in a row.  At this point I had no idea where Solomon was…I was in my ski ball zone.

And 4)  Doughnuts.  We usually have your typical breakfast, but then there are those days that are just begging to be started off with a sprinkle doughnut…Sunday was one of them.

How was your weekend?  I hope it was really good.  Here’s to a stellar good week…may it be grand beyond grand.

Happy Monday!

Weekend Love

So we had to start cleaning up puke again.  It’s awesome, let me tell you.  Amon puked all day Saturday and Sunday, but seems to have perked up this morning.  Harper got sick again on Saturday afternoon and is still sick.  I’m kind of getting bitter about this whole puke/stomach issue thing.  The weather is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G here and we should be living it up outside, but were still on the recovery road.  So our weekend was full of really joyful moments and then some vomit covered ones.  That’s just how we roll.

Amon in Huddy’s Yoda slippers may have had Josh and I cracking up hard.

The boys are always building little pillow houses or forts or castles.

I miss her smile.  She is just feeling craptastic right now.  She did get another Lego set for her birthday and already assembled it by herself.  She was pretty proud.

Amon took super long sick naps this weekend.  It was sad, but really cute.

I got to enjoy a yummy breakfast with some of my favorite ladies before I headed to the soccer fields.  Swaffles (sandwich waffles) was delicious and the company and conversation and laughter was even better.

Soccer was awesome.  I love watching my kids play.  Everyone did pretty well, but Harper took the cake with 3 goals.  She was so crazy cute.  This was pre-sick again.

I worked on custom orders…none are finished yet, but should be soon.  I also got to celebrate my soon-to-arrive niece.  I made her this 20×20 Philippians 4:8 canvas for her room.

And we had family pictures taken yesterday.  It was quite hilariously awful/wonderful.  The weather was off the hook.  Cheyenne was amazing…as always.  Harper faked her smiles well, but when she wasn’t having her picture taken was laying on a quilt with a hoodie on.  Amon cried…like the whole time unless he was being held or had his paci.  The most smilingest kid I have ever known and of course on picture day he is puking his guts up.  The boys had enough energy for the entire family and found way too many large sticks.  But you know what…it’s totally good.  I will look back at the pictures and remember with fond memories the day and how life is just that…life…the ups and downs and ins and outs.  Thank you Cheyenne for capturing the craziness of our life.  I completely and truly appreciate it.

So that was a snipet of our weekend.  How was yours?  I hope it was grand and good.  Oh and I have a little giveaway this weekend…no art, but some fun goodies.  I hope you’ll like it.  See you tomorrow.

Happy Monday!

Lived It Up

And that’s just what we did this weekend…lived it up.  Josh was gone to Tampa all weekend enjoying spring training baseball with his brothers, dad and Coop.  I decided with the weekend alone why should he have all the fun 🙂

We went full force and filled the weekend with good fun.  My niece Meiya even got to join in on the fun too.  Consider the evidence.

Stair climbing.

Pizza eating.

Movie watching.

Craft making.

Outside playing.

Surprise decorated leprechaun dog finding.  (Thanks to whoever did this…all the kids decided it must have been St. Patrick.)

Park enjoying.

Chill-laxing.

Puzzle working/Creepy baby photo bombing.

Egg dying. (Yes, we picked up another little cutie for egg dying.)

Candy and chick stuffing.

Cat pretending.

Soccer shopping.

And bath having.

And that is exactly how it went.  Crammed full of fun.  How was your weekend?  Hope it was grand.  Our wasn’t too shabby at all.

Happy Monday!
