And today we officially began our kindness advent. Day one is already in the books.
Fun fact: If you order in larger quantities from Krispy Kreme call ahead a few days and you will receive a discount. Raise the donut roof.
We love our public school. This place is a beating heart for our community and kids. Teachers are overworked, under paid and stressed out, but everyday they are showing up, doing their gosh darn best and loving our kiddos. They need to know we are in this with them. If I could, I would wrap each one of them up in a giant hug and just gush over them, give them a massive pay raise and bake them cookies every single day for the entire school year. But alas, sometimes we just stock pile the teachers lounge with regular and chocolate glaze donuts and hope they know how much we appreciate them and all their hard work.
Tomorrow we will be mailing out some handmade mail.
Now go spread some kindness party people.
Happy Tuesday!

One of my favorite things at Christmas is sending and receiving Christmas cards!
I love taking the kids out in their christmas pjs to see the lights.
We love our annual “Elf” watching party with our friends!

Shopping with our family for Operation Christmas Child . . . This year our kids really began to grasp the idea . . . and it was great!
Started this morning with delivering hot chocolate and M&M’s to our pastor who greets kids at the door to school. We can’t wait to drive around looking at lights later this month and checking out our favorite house with lights to music and having a little dance party outside our van!
Growing up my favorite family tradition was making fondue at home with my family on Christmas Eve. We would heat up a cheese pot and a chocolate pot and dip veggies, bread, and fruit. Yum! Makes me want to go out and buy some fondue pots so we can do it with our kids.
We just moved to Indiana and we are living in a hotel while we wait to close on our house. (All 7 of us!!) We are starting our kindness advent today by giving the housekeepers on our floor gift cards!
Children’s Christmas program at church on Christmas Eve. Then small open house with some friends and family. Our family tradition that us dear to us…

New favorite Christmas tradition since I’ve joined my husband’s family- going to the Christmas eve service that my husband has attended every year of his 36 year life at the church that three of his four grandparents founded!
My favorite Christmas tradition is drinking hot chocolate and watching Elf on Christmas Eve! 🙂

Getting our real Tree. I love walking in our front door and having our house smell like Christmas!
LOVE these earrings! They remind me of peacock feathers. And peacock feathers remind me of my grandmother 🙂 She owned lots of them and I loved to just sit and watch them roam 🙂

Favorite Christmas tradition is listening to our Bing Crosby Christmas record while decorating the tree. <3
My favorite (and our longest lasting) tradition is getting ornaments for my husband and my boys every year. We started this tradition right before we got engaged and it’s been a constant every year. It’s fun to watch them unpack their boxes every year and remember why I chose them.

Eating crab cakes on Christmas eve
Following your kindness advent has become one of my most favorites! It has inspired us to do our own. This will be our second year. We love it. I can’t imagine December without it. (PS Josh Kelly is a GENIUS for coming up with the surprise Christmas blow up. That’s what’s we are doing tonight!)
One of my favorite Christmas traditions is having a couple of my best girlfriends over to bake treats, drink wine and watch a Christmas movie once the kids are in bed!
One of our favorite Christmas traditions is Christmas Light Bingo. I handmade a few bingo cards a couple years ago for my husband and my first Christmas just the two of us (no traveling to see family). I put on things like angel, star, tree in a living room, etc. and we drive around crossing off what we find on our bingo cards. The winner gets something special each year.
I love these feathered earrings. One of my favorite Christmas memories is letting my children pick out an ornament each year. They have fun going back each year to see what they picked in the pervious year.s
I love buying ornaments for my husband and son. It’s so fun to take them out the next year and remember all the fun ones from the past!
So many…daily advent reading, baking cookie with my Mom & all the cousins, driving around looking at Christmas lights with a hot drink, going to local Christmas music events with my Mom, watching as many Christmas movies as we can, the kids opening new Pjs Christmas Eve, reading the Christmas Story while we eat a breakfast we have dubbed Carlisle Brakfast. Love this time of year!

Favorite [after] Christmas tradition: driving to small town Kentucky to visit my grandparents on December 26 through the new year. It’s a shorter trip nowadays, but still so fun.
Love gathering at my grandmas on Christmas Eve and telling stories and laughing with family while indulging in dessert!
Love seeing my family
