Happy Vacation!

Vacation Here I Come

I cannot tell you how excited I am about taking a small, but much needed vacation with my family…SO EXCITED.  It will be weird not touching my sewing machine or picking up a paint brush for a whole week, but it is greatly needed.  I have really been working crazily (is that a word…if not, then it should be) on orders and getting everything in line before vacation officially begins.  I will be back and ready to get busy June 5th.  So onto tons of orders.

This first order was placed by Jaime in Kentucky.  She wanted a burp cloth set for some friends who will bringing home their son soon from Ethiopia.  I always love orders like this.  Thanks so much Jaime.

This order is headed to Rory in Oregon.  She has a good friend who is adopting from Thailand and wanted to see if I would do a Thailand tee.  I am always happy to add another place to my shirt list.  Love the fabric she chose too.  She also wanted a new Africa key fob for herself.  Thanks so much Rory and hope your friend loves her tee.

This order is headed to Angie in Indiana.  Angie ordered a Vietnam tee for herself a while back and since then her husband decided he wanted one too…so sweet!  She also wanted a baseball tee for her little boy and wanted me to give a Vietnam key fob a shot.  Love how they all turned out.  Thanks Angie for your business again.

This mixed media adoption piece was ordered by Stephanie in Florida.  Stephanie actually contacted me from Uganda because she is there right now picking up her newest little girl.  Stephanie thank you so much for your business and I hope you are having the most amazing trip with your daughter.

This next set of key fobs are headed out to Jessica in Johnson City, Tn, Brandy in Pennsylvania and Michelle in California.  Thanks ladies for your business.

And these are headed to Steph in North Carolina and Jennifer in Maine.  Steph is a returning customer and she wanted some key fobs that had Guatemala on them.  And Jennifer wanted Africa key fobs to give as thank you gifts for some special ladies who are throwing her a baby shower.  She will be bringing home her new child soon.  What a special little thank you gift.  Thanks ladies so much.

This next order was placed by my sister-in-law Katy.  My niece Lyla was invited to a cheerleader birthday party and Katy wanted a special tee for the birthday girl and a coloring wallet.  The Child’s Coloring Wallet design is by Jennifer Casa – a tutorial is available at jcasa.etsy.com.  That is where I purchased the pattern and have been making these for friends and family members.

These next three pieces were ordered by my cousin Rhonda in Virgina, Cindi in Texas and Valerie in Oklahoma.  I do so love this piece.  Thanks ladies and hope you and the recipients love them as well.

And lastly, this tee was ordered by Angela in Greenbrier, Tn.  Angela’s little girl loves Charlotte’s Web and when she saw my most latest design, she knew her little girl would love one.  Thanks so much Angela for your business.  And please check out Angela’s photography HERE…it’s amazing.

Well there you have it.  I still have quite an order list, but the due dates are for later in June, so I think I can rest easy on my vacation.  I will be checking email still, so if you send me an email, I will still be in contact.  Also, don’t forget you can see updates on new creation on Facebook HERE and Twitter HERE.  And please feel free to tag yourself in your order pictures.  Thanks again for all the business.  It really is humbling and an honor to do what I do.  And, yet another big thank you to our Kroger gift card fairy…we think you are amazing whoever you are.  God is so good and HAPPY VACATION!!!!

Working Hard

I have been a crazy person lately…trying to get everything wrapped up before our vacation begins…YEAH!!!  I will post an enormous post later today, but wanted to post these new key fobs  because I totally love them.  These are all bought up, but I can make more, so if you need some just let me know.  Thanks again everyone…big post later tonight.

Including Vietnam and Africa ones.  Guatemala in the works!

Late Night Blog Post

So the clock is actually 12:51, but wanted to get this post in before I headed off to bed…it’s been a busy, fun Saturday.  I am anticipating our family vacation time, but have so many orders to complete before vacation officially begins.  I am one of those people who doesn’t like my order list to be insanely long and then take some time off…so I am going to work like mad to try to clear it out.  We’ll see how I do.  Here are two recent orders I finished up.  This first order was placed by Amanda in Montana, but is actually headed to a birthday girl in Colorado…so fun.  Amanda wanted a “Special Day” plate and a birthday crown tee.  Thanks so much Amanda and hope the birthday girl loves her gift.

This next order was placed by Jennifer in Franklin, Tennessee.  Jennifer is taking her two nieces to the play Charlotte’s Web and wanted special tees for them to wear when they go.  I love how they turned out and hope the girls do too.  Thanks again Jennifer.

Happy Saturday…well, technically Sunday.

Vacation Approaching

Wanted to let everyone know that I will be taking a small vacation May 30th – June 5th.  I will still be checking email, so if you email me, I will get back to you.  So excited for a little down time to relax with my family!

And here is a recent order that will be headed to Bethany in Kentucky.  Bethany wanted a hip little Robot tee for her own son, a cupcake tee for a birthday girl and one of my most favorite mixed media adoption pieces.  Love how they all turned out and thanks so much Bethany.  I look forward to working with you again.

This canvas is a 8×10 size.

And here is a look at two new key fobs.  I have been toying with this idea for a while now and while waiting for some orders to dry, I set to work.  I really love how they turned out.  I can applique other small designs on these, but please keep in mind that the key fob itself is about an inch wide and 12 inches in length…so you can tell that whatever the applique, I am working on a very small area.  The Africa key fob is $8.  Shoot me an email of you are interested in some.

Happy Friday!

Seems Way Too Long

I know its only been around 5 days since I last posted, but I had gotten in such a good routine…at least it seemed that way to me.  I have been meaning to post, but just never could seem to find the time.  So here’s to a much needed post to be posted 🙂  This first order was placed by my friend Angie here in Tennessee.  She and her husband Robert have two sweet little girls from Russia and Angie wanted a family set of Russia tees.  SO EXCITED…I had never had the chance to make a Russia tee, so when Angie emailed me, I was super excited.  Angie’s is still not complete, but you can check out the rest of the families.  Thanks Angie.

This next order is headed to two different ladies.  My Aunt Peggie ordered one of these 8×10 Names of Jesus pieces.  She is becoming quite the customer and I am extremely thankful.  Thanks Aunt Peggie.

And the other three pictured were ordered by Sarah in Hendersonville.  Sarah actually was one of my first orders way back when.  Check out the painting she ordered for her daughter Carleigh back in October of 2007. Wow that seems like ages ago.  Thanks so much Sarah and hope all the recipients love their piece.

This next order was very different and like nothing I have ever done.  Natalie in Kentucky, who recently ordered these for her sweet boy, has already returned for some more goodies.  This time she wanted something very specific and like nothing I had even done.  She was looking for a certain type of wood picture frame and wanted this special little quote on it as well.  She ordered two, one for little boy (who will hopefully be home soon) and the other for her best friends daughter.  Thanks so much Natalie for this unique request…it was great to work on something so new.

And if you are wondering, Alison Bynum took the picture of our family in the frames.  She is amazing…check her out here.

And lastly, these key fobs have headed out to Jamie in Texas, Sandra in North Carolina, Susan in South Carolina and Kristy in Hendersonville, TN.  Thanks ladies so much and hope you love them.  Please shoot me an email if you are interested in some key fobs…great, simple and inexpensive gifts.

Thank you again for all the orders placed.  It is such a blessing to get to do something you love.  It’s the best.  Happy Wednesday Night.

My Oh My…

do I have lots to post.  I have been super busy and I just cannot enjoy myself anymore.  It is the best.  God is just too good.  There are few things I enjoy more than creating.  It’s in my blood.  So onto to lots of orders.

This first order is headed to Lori in North Carolina.  She needed some special birthday tees for her son and a good little friend of his.  I was absolutely delighted to do these shirts and so love how they turned out.  Lori wanted a train and sea turtle shirt for her boy and then a sweet little banana shirt for his friend.  Thanks again Lori for your business and hope everyone loves their tees.

This next order was placed by my very best friend Ashley in Florida.  She needed three different baby sets that are headed in several different directions over the US.  And let me go ahead and take a moment to say that Ashley is simply the best and she is getting married in like 30 something days…I am the MOH and Harper is the flower girl and Ashley is going to make one beautiful, rockin’ bride.  Love you more than you know Ashley.

Here are four 8×10 Names of Jesus pieces that were ordered as teacher gifts.  Two of which were ordered by my sister-in-law Kim in Franklin.  She wanted some special gifts for my niece McKinley to give to her teachers as an end-of-the-year thank you.  Thanks Kim for your business, as always.

And lastly this is another teacher gift headed to my niece Lyla’s mothers day out class.  The room mother contacted all the parents about pooling their money together and getting their teacher a special end-of-the-year gift.  My sister-in-law Katy recommended one of my Names of Jesus pieces.  They decided on a 24×24 size and I totally love it.  I have a strange love for perfectly square things though, so I’m biased.  Thanks Katy for the recommendation and hope their teacher loves it.

Hope everyone has a great Friday!

Happy Mother’s Day (& some orders)

Wanted to wish everyone a Happy Mother’s Day, even though I am a day late.  I know people have different emotions on Mother’s Day, feelings of loss for a child or mother, strained relationships with mothers, the longing to be a mother and the list could go on.  I do not want to forget those who are feeling or felt those ways yesterday.  I prayed yesterday day for all those people who were spending their Mother’s Day much differently than they had imagined.  I prayed for Sol’s mom and thanked God for her and my own amazing mother.  They are both two women whom I could never repay all that we have been blessed with from them.  We did a little bit of celebrating in our house…I love my husband by the way.  Started the morning with cards, flowers, a gift and Krispy Kreme doughnuts…yum!  And I had to share what I chose for Mother’s Day lunch…and I am aware of just how un-healthy this lunch was, but OH how I love Sams pizza.  And on top of their pizza that I love, I also completely love their Icees.  I am a total Icee junkie and even had Harper take a picture of me enjoying my Mother’s Day icee while we waited for our pizza (Josh and the boys were in the car).

I decided to extend the deliciousness and let Harper have a try…Mom’s are good at sharing, even their most favorite drink.

And I even did a little grocery shopping alone on Mother’s Day.  Weird I know, but it kind of made my day.  Hit the Publix with my coupons and then finished my trip with Aldis…I heart Aldis.  Saw several father’s buying their wives flowers from Alids with their kiddos…made me smile.  And when I got home I was greeted by a crew that was ready to unpack all those groceries.  Hud really, really wanted a Vanilla Wafer.

I cannot begin to tell you how content and blessed I am to be their Mom!  Best job in the world.

And now for some recent orders.  These plates are headed to Rebecca in Oregon.  She wanted a special Gotcha Day plate for her son and another plate just to use at parties and special occasions.  Thanks so much Rebecca for your order.

The next order is headed to Kelly in Washington.  She wanted an Africa to to show some love for Ethiopia.  Totally love this print.  Thanks so much Kelly and hope you love your tee.

And lastly, this tee is headed to Jennifer in Memphis, Tennessee.  She wanted a cross tee and I was happy to make that happen.  Love this plum color tee and her fabric choice.  Thanks Jennifer for your business.

Have a great week!
