Be Mine

Tonight we are headed to a party for a good friend of ours Jacob and his new wife Miranda. Jacob and Josh played baseball together for years and he recently got married in Gulf Shores and they are having a little party tonight to celebrate. We are really excited to go and spend time with good friends we don’t get to hangout with much. Like I have said before I like giving gifts that have a little extra thought and a personal touch to them. I recently found this great new canvas size 4×12 which I love. The canvas is also really thick so I can use the sides to carry my creativity. I know Jacob and Miranda are using aqua, orange, greens and browns in their new house, so I wanted to give them somthing that carried all those colors. I made a flower mixed media piece. I also found out that their first dance was to “Be Mine” by David Gray which was actually in mine and Josh’s wedding too, so I know the song well. I used my favorite line from the song, “Everyday feels so incomplete ’till you walk into the room.” I also included their wedding date in the bottom right hand corner. I hope Jacob and Miranda love it and we wish them all the best in their new life together.

B is for Brady

This order was actually completed several week ago for a little baby boy Brady who will be here this summer. His Aunt Tracy ordred this for him and gave it his mom, Lori, for her baby shower.  Lori checks my site, so I waited to post until after she received the thoughtful gift.  I love this paper and Brady’s room is done in black, green, red and beige. I think it will really pop on his green walls. I hope Lori will love it. Thanks Tracy for all your business.

For The 4th

My most recent order completed was ordered by Kelly, who also ordered a great first birthday shirt and plate. Kelly contacted me because her favorite holiday is the 4th of July and she wanted a flag onesie for her new little boy Luke to sport. So I got right to work and I must say, I’m usually not a big fan of the 4th, but I do love this little patriotic shirt. I know Luke will be too handsome in it. Thanks again Kelly for your business.

For Campbell

My little niece Campbell finished preschool today and will be starting kindergarten in the fall.  This is a big step.  When Cooper, my nephew, finished preschool I made him a box that had things he loved on it and told him it was for him to keep things that were important and special to him.  Coop is about to start 2nd grade and still has his box and it still contains important things to him.  So of course I had to make Campbell a box for her special things.  I also made her a cute little cat tee to put inside it.  Campbell LOVES cats and just about any other animal you can think of.  I’ve said this before, but she is child after my own heart.  Josh and I are so proud of you Campbell and love you more than you’ll ever know.

A Big Order

One of my previous students Presly and her mom Laura saw my site and had to place an order.  Presly picked out her own shirts and brought them to me.  She also gave me her list of things she wanted on her shirts.  She chose a mermaid, dolphin, flower, weenie dog and icecream cone.  I’ve been extremely busy, so it took me about 2 weeks, but I finally finished.  I think Presly is going to be too sweet in her Pitter Patter shirts.  Thanks Laura and Presly for your business.

Great 1st Birthday Gift

I wanted to share a great 1st birthday order that Kelly ordered for a little girl named Emma.  Emma’s first birthday is coming up and Kelly wanted a shirt with a lowercase e on it and one of my cupcake plates that said “Emma’s Special Day”.  I thought this was such a nice 1st birthday gift.  When they are that young they won’t remember and they really don’t need tons of toys, so I thought this was perfect.  Thanks so much for your order Kelly.

Fun Summer Fish

These shirts were ordered by Mandy over at Sweet Treats, again. I think she is my new best customer. Well she wanted some boyish fish for her boys to sport this summer. I love how these turned out and even more I love the button bubbles. I also like the corresponding fabric on the bright red tee. Thank you so much AGAIN Mandy for your business.

Nothing Fancy

My most recent little creation was for a wedding gift. My good friend Alissa, who I have been friends with since elementary school, is getting married to Stetson, another good friend from high school. So we all went to school together. Anyways Josh and I were invited to a little Happy Wedding BBQ tonight and it was so much fun. Alissa is dear to my heart, so no measuring cups for her. I asked Stetson to send me either a quote, some song lyrics or a verse that was special to Alissa and him. He sent me several lyrics and with the help of Alissa’s twin sister Ashley, I went with the song “Nothing Fancy” by Dave Barnes. I chose the line in the song that says, “There’s nothing fancy bout the way I love you, but I love you as hard as I can.” I thought that line was perfect. I also included the date of their wedding in the bottom right-hand corner and their married initials in the top right-hand corner. I wanted both of these to be very subtle. Anyways they seemed to really like it and Josh and I had a great time. I love you Alissa and I hope your wedding day is nothing but perfect.
