Dr. Kevin

I feel it is a rare thing to be very close with your gynecologist, but not with our family.  Dr. Kevin Hamilton is mine and has delivered my daughter Harper, my niece McKinley, my nephew Jack and my little cousin Grant.  He is a great friend of our family’s and takes such great care of us.  I posted a while back about Kevin finding out he had cancer and at my last visit he said he was “out of the woods”.  He just goes back for check-ups to make sure everything is still okay.  I just love Kevin.  I go in Friday for my ultrasound and that visit is always very nerve racking for me.  But it’s great to know, really know the someone who is watching over your unborn child and to know what a godly, sweet man he is.  So I felt like making Kevin a small mixed media piece for all the wonderful work he does.  I really appreciate all he does and the way he has let God use him.  The verse says, “Bless all his skills, O Lord, and be pleased with the work of his hands…” Deuteronomy 33:11.  And if you notice, in the background are Harper’s handprints.  I hope Kevin likes it and I’ll post about our visit on Friday.

Abstract Squares

I recently got an order from Jenny wanting an abstract square piece. She and her husband have been staring at a fuse box for quite sometime and contacted me about making a piece to cover the eye sore. They were very fond of all the abstract pieces I had done, so that’s what they went with. The room has khaki walls, dark wood furniture and fabric that has rust, moss green, black, brown and beige in them. I think this is going to look great and cover the fuse box nicely. Thanks so much for you business Jenny.

Another Adoption Piece

This Africa Adoption piece was ordered by Amy in Illinois. Her family will be going to pick up their little Libi Faith from China very soon. Check out their story here.  I painted a large ladybug for Libi Faith’s room a while back and Amy recently was checking out my site and saw the Africa adoption piece I had done.  They have some friends who are adopting a little one from Africa and she ordered this piece as a special gift.  I hope the mom and dad love it and that their lives are blessed by their new little one.  Amy, again, thank you so much for your business.

Babies, Babies, Babies

I have had so many orders for baby gifts lately and that is so exciting for Pitter Patter Art. Here are 4 new orders I have completed these last few days. It’s exciting to think about little ones wearing Pitter Patter originals.

This order was for a weenie dog baby set for a little baby girl, Emerson Jane, that will arrive this summer. A friend of her mom and dad’s, Ashley, ordered this for her because mom and dad own dachshunds and are crazy about them. I’m sure Emerson will be too cute in this and thanks Ashley for your business.

This order was for the birdie baby set for a another little baby girl, Ava Grace. Her Aunt Jamie ordered this especially for her. Thanks so much for your business Jamie. Ava will be darling in her birdie onesie.

This burpcloth was ordered by Donna for a new baby that will be joining their family this summer. She wasn’t exactly sure what she was wanting so she let me decide. It was fun to have free rein over a project. I went with a fresh, summery flower and I think it turned out really well. Thanks Donna for your business.

This last order was for an elephant baby set. My sister-in-law Kim ordered this for a friend of her’s, who lives here but is from India and is expecting a baby girl. In India the elephant is a symbol for good luck, so Kim wanted me to use an elephant to adorn a pink onesie and burpcloth. I really love how this turned out and hope the new mom will too. Thanks Kimmy for your business. Kisses for McKinley and Jack.

Cupcake Apron

This order was for an embellishment for an apron. Mandy, owner of Sweet Treats, brought me this cute apron and asked if I could add a big, yummy cupcake to it. I was very excited about having a hand in an apron and the final result turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself. Mandy thanks for your business and I can’t wait to try one of your Sweet Treats.

Twin Icecreams

This sweet little pair of shirts are going to a set of twins who are turning 2 this Saturday.  Their aunt Jessica ordered these summery treats just for them.  She wanted extra scoops on each cone and I added some rick rack and ribbon for stems on the cherries.  Just a little something extra.  I hope the twins love these and I’m sure they will look super cute.  Thanks for your business Jessica.

Amaryllis Flower

This is my most recent order completed last night and delivered today.  I was asked to take a picture of a really beautiful flower called an amaryllis, which I had never seen or heard of before.  The order was for a 12×24 painting of the flower.  I love the shape of the canvas with the shape of the flower, tall and thin.  I think it turned out pretty good and Lisa seemed to love it.  Thank you so much for you business Lisa.
