Today I am choosing to be grateful…
for a note from my Mom
for grocery shopping at Aldis with Solomon
for a sweet, artistic 5-year-old daughter
for little boys who make life so interesting
for a family calendar that makes life a little easier to keep up with
for flowers from a friend and some from the wee Kelleys
for a good husband, like really good
for a little reminder of Ethiopia and all that it means to our family
for an amazing grief devotional book…highly recommended
for the crazy amount of superhero reading I do
for the anchor symbol and all it stands for in my heart
for the ability to create and do something I truly love and enjoy
and the list could go on and on and on and on…
Today I am grateful.
Happy Tuesday!
I am grateful for you!
A wonderful reminder. I too have some notes from my mother that I keep handy, after 18 years they still bring me peace. There is another book called ‘Motherless Daughters’ by Hope Edelman that you might like to look at. While it comes across as a book about loss of a mother as a child, it is also for loss as an adult and a very helpful book for my sisters and me. Solomon’s smile, what a wonderful warm fuzzy!
Where did you get your calendar. It looks fabulous! I love reading about you and your family.
Kristen…I got our calendar at http://www.erincondren.com They have amazing products and I used a deal from http://www.plumdistrict.com to purchase it. Hope that helps.
Laura,
I can not tell you how much your mom’s note to you blessed my heart this morning. You were so blessed to have her as your mother. I hope you are doing well.
