We are super pumped about summer at the Kelley house. Every morning we’ve been starting our day with blaring some Mowgli’s and right now I’m typing in my bathing suit because today is our first official pool day. Yep. We’re going to live it up.

A week in the Keys!! I LOVE this fabric!
I have two things I’m super excited about for this summer :). First our family vacation to the mountainswhich equals fabulous time with the hubs and my son 🙂 and our extended family. Second we are starting renovations on my husband’s Great Grandmother’s house that we are moving into. A lot to do but so excited. It needs to be done before baby #2 gets here in December!! I can’t even list all the things I’m excited about for the summer! First would be the family beach trip that we leave for TOMORROW! (haven’t started packing) Also, down time with my boys, and time to work on some projects that have been staring me in the face all school year. I love summer!
I’m pumped about spending some time with extended family this summer. And also just enjoy watching my kids be kids and not doing school work!!
Summer fun means no alarm clocks to wake us! Spending time with my little one, traveling to be with family and an airplane ride. And we especially love being outside and wet…splash pads and pools are our summer best friends!

I am pumped to go to Idaho and surprise my “Boise sister.” We met on a mission trip to Africa last year and haven’t seen each other since October, so I am super pumped about it!

Last July my 3 month old twins came home from the NICU. We are going to live it up this summer at the pool and the zoo! I’m especially looking forward to the pool!
I am super excited to go to the beach this summer! It’s a well earned family vacation, with a much needed stop over in TN to see my family. I can’t wait! We will be spending our days doing the summer camp at home routine and hitting the pool and ball field at night. It’s going to be a great summer!
I am most excited about spending time with my little sister. We are 3 years and 6 days apart so we’ve never gotten along but finally after 16 years we are best friends and I completely love it!

Super excited about taking our new son we adopted from Ethiopia to the beach for the first time! This time last summer we were desperate to pass court…. fast forward one year and he is in our home and bringing us so much joy as we watch all his “firsts”.
Swimming with the grand kids is top on my list of summer things to do!
I’m excited it’s our last summer to pay child care for Olivia. Our middle child, Emily Ann, turns 21! Yeah for enjoying an adult beverage with her! We’re taking vacai in Virginia and get to see our son, Dustin, that lives up there and our daughter’s boyfriend! Summer here we come!!

My daughter and I are so excited to swim together and read lots and lots of books together. We have a very big reading list this summer. Oh, and we are going to visit the library lots, too! Yahoo. Our summer starts next Friday. We can’t wait.
I have been a stay at home for 4 years and I had the opportunity to go back into the classroom as an interim teacher in March until the end of the school year. So, I am looking forward to being back with my boys everyday and sleeping in and playing and taking in all summer has to offer from the waterpark to the zoo!

I am super pumped about Summer because it means plans are being made to spend time doing whatever my baby girl can think up. We plan picnics in the park, eating the most delicious treat ever, SNOWCONES, enjoying family gatherings and watermelon. Summer also means watergun wars, beachtime, running barefoot through the grass, camping in the back yard, and fishing off the bank of a pond. It doesn’t have to be anything major for us we just try to savor every bit of Summer we can! Happy Summer to you and yours. =)

I’m excited for our family trip to Hawaii! We only get to see my husband’s sisters and our nieces & nephew 2-3 times a year, so this is one week I get to smother them in love and kisses. It’s the best week of our year, for sure!
I am so excited that summer will bring the gift of time! Commuting and working at an elementary school is actually very time consuming. Summer vacation will give me time to play with my girls, go to the pool, read, scrapbook, sleep, knit, go on dates with hubby, play games and see movies with my besties, and so much more! I am excited about our yearly family beach week. A ENTIRE week together with our 3 children, their spouses & the 4 grandchildren, my mom & my brother and his family AND some special friends come as well. We eat HOMEMADE ice cream EVERY night-chocolate and vanilla!! Play lots of bocce and other “beach” games, have sing alongs at night, cook all our food before we go so we can “enjoy” the week….so many blessings!!

This summer I want to spend more family time together with my girls. Being a school teacher, we’re on a tight budget; but, we created a list of inexpensive, family fun we want to do this summer! Crafts are at the top of our list. The Gregory Girls love to be creative. Maybe someone will but the crafts to make money for more fun!!! (Coaster sets anyone:)?) Super pumped to run my first color run this summer with my girls and sister. And to rock a great tan while “playing” at the pool.
Ok also looking forward to smelling like campfire and my kids going to bed with s’mores stuck in their teeth.

I am super excited about this summer. This year was a hard year for our family…i quit my job and went back to school, my mother-in-law passed away on my 1st day of class, my grandfather has been ill, our family cat, Radar, passed away, and it’s just been tough! After all of that, I have the summer off with my kiddos who deserve my undivided attention. Have lots of staycation plans, free and cheap, in Nashville (any ideas appreciated). Can’t wait!!!

We’ll be visiting the States this summer after two years away! I’m excited for my three boys to have time with their grandparents and also looking forward to doing “normal” summer stuff with them… even though we live in the tropics it’s not the same as summer in the U.S.! Picking strawberries and blueberries, going to the library – in English!, riding bikes, and playing in the sprinkler or kiddie pool (our water’s not potable) are on my list!
I’m looking forward to long days of playing with two of my favorite people until the sun goes down!

Going to Ethiopia with my oldest daughter, Macall, and Ordinary Hero. We adopted our 4th child from Ethiopia in 2010 but this is Macall’s first trip. She is fifteen and I know this trip will be life changing and I can’t wait to share it with her. We hope to take each of our children around that age to Ethiopia. It’s a place that will forever be in our hearts…..
Lightening bugs!! There is something magical and wonderful about seeing them light up my back yard. Getting to enjoy them with the 5 year old is one of my favorite things to do.

We just moved cross country after a couple of years of back and forth and not really making a decision to stay or go. Living in flux is almost more stressful than moving. We are here now and I am pumped to settle in and make this our home.
Can’t wait for summer time CAMPING TRIPS!! Camper is ready–just one more day of work for me then camping here we come!

i’m super excited about summer because we are starting our little hobby farm! my birthday was this past week and I got 2 baby pygmy goat girls! the kids LOVE them and they are so sweet. next comes chickens and guineas! we just moved into a 1915 farmhouse last year and it is just too perfect. =)

I just want to shake off some grief from my Dad’s sudden death in December. I just want to be able to breathe. I just want some normal, whatever that may now be?? Can one be MORE than super pumped? We are sooooo super pumped to be hosting our two Latvian loves in our home again this summer. Looking forward to the day we won’t have to send them back to the orphanage at the end of their stay. Only 24 more days until they are back at their “Texas Home”.
What I love the MOST about summer is NO school, NO routine, NO homework! I have 4 boys and we love to stay up late watching movies, eating peanut m&ms and just relaxing! Love your blog – so fun and real! I am also a dessert eating runner (wanna be artist) with 4 kiddos, so I like you- I get your chaos, pain and joy!

I am beyond excited to be welcoming our two 8 year old sons home from Ethiopia. Their names are Adamu and Haile. They are amazing and have already changed our life for the better.

After years of wanting and trying to have a family, last summer we adopted our little girl and a couple months later found out I was pregnant. A few weeks ago we welcomed our second daughter into this world. I am looking forward to a crazy-fun-sleepless summer as a mother!

Okay, three things I’m looking forward to this summer.
1. We planted our own little garden in the backyard for the first time, and I can’t wait for those little plants to grow.
2. Visit from my sister and her family will be perfection.
3. Visit from my husband’s brother and his family who we haven’t seen in 3 years and they’re brining their 2 newly adopted boys we haven’t met yet. Hurray!
