Highlights

Thank you guys so much for all the kind, sweet, encouraging and funny comments and emails about our cemetery Valentines 🙂  You are truly too kind and I am relieved to know that most of you think I am not going to send my kiddos into early therapy sessions 🙂

And here are some recent highlights in our little Kelley world.

I went grocery shopping alone the other night after Zumba.  I told you my kids, from a cereal choice standpoint, are like 80-year-olds.  It’s true.  I personally wanted the Lucky Charms.

Huddy’s hair is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G…especially after he gets his sweat on during his nap.

Puzzles are a love of my kiddos.  I enjoyed watching them work this floor puzzle the other day.  Sol directed and barked orders from the table…

while Harper and Huddy did all the leg work.  It was funny to watch.

Last night I got to go to the Preds game…for free…Thank Tanya!

Every time we go I try and try and try to get on the Jumbo-tron.  And not just make the Jumbo-tron, but also capture this amazingly, cool milestone on my camera.  Last night = success.

Yes, I am completely aware of how cool we are 🙂

And today I created this 10×10 canvas with “We were made to love.”  I have really been digging nap time and just not sure what to do with all the pieces that have been a result.  Part of me just wants to keep them…the other part wants to give them away or sell them.  Oh the dilemma.  I might need to bless some others with them.  We shall see.

Hope your week has been good so far.  Half way through.  Bring on the weekend.

  1. I so love reading your daily blog, not to mention this gorgeous work of art! Great reminder for us all: we were made to love for sure!

  2. I don’t know how you do it – your kids are amazing, your posts are so inspiring and funny and sad and loving and everything all at once, your art work is just so encouraging and blessing to everyone. I am so glad I met you (your blog). I look forward to it every single day. I follow a lot of blogs, but seldom read them. This one, I worry if I don’t get a post by 4 pm or so each day. Your family is always in my prayers!

  3. Laura, I’m loving all that you’re accomplishing during your kiddos nap times! Great stuff!! It’s awesome how God blesses when you’re totally letting go & making art for the fun of it! Wish our current foster kiddo had a few less issues so I could get back to more of my creative endeavors, but all in God’s timing, right?!

  4. Your family is precious and your art is amazing. I’m lucky just to get the dishes done during my daughter’s nap! I love reading y’alls daily adventures!

  5. I love reading your blog. You make me laugh and cry at the same time. LOVED the blog about the cemetery and, even though I didn’t know your mom, I’m sure she would have loved it too!! You’ll have this funny and happy experience to share with her when you see her again in heaven. Saw you went to a predators game. My nephew was married during half time at a game about 10 years ago. We live in PA but drove to TN to be part of the fun. My poor sister was mortified to think a son of hers would be married at a sports event, but it turned out to be very nice. The reception was also there and then the bride & groom rode the zambonies!
