8 Happy Things

1.  Josh Kelley making ice cream.  He is an ice cream making machine.  Can’t stop, won’t stop.  Seriously, an ice cream maker was the best Father’s Day gift ever for him.  For my birthday he made vanilla and bought me a lemon Nothing Bundt Cake.  Holy freakin’ moly you guys!!!  When the cake was gone I made some homemade chocolate sauce.  Be still my heart.

2.  Amon and our littlest using the Xlerator in the Target bathroom.  No joke, it’s their favorite.  They go semi crazy and laugh and squeal and I’m sure everyone in the bathroom wants to get out of there asap, but it’s also the funniest and cutest to watch.  Sorry annoyed ladies peeing.

3.  While we’re on the subject of Amon, I’ll just go ahead and say Amon drinking milk from the carton.  Hap.Pi.Ness.  Instantly transports me to 10 years from now when he’s a teenager.  Gah, I like him.

4.  Tennessee skies always and forever.

5.  An emoji themed birthday party?  Why yes please.  It was so so fun.  Susan brought us banana costumes.  And then Melody busted out the best masks ever.  There was dancing and drinks and pizza and a bonfire and chocolate Texas sheet cake cookies and wait for it, strawberry shortcake on freakin’ donuts.  I cannot tell a lie.  It was such a fun night.  I am well loved.

*please enjoy my face*

6.  Hudson and Solomon’s commitment to the one glove.  They have been wearing one single glove for a solid 2 weeks now.  We joke about them channeling their inner Michael Jackson and then Hudson informed us they are just keeping their writing hand warm.  I love them and hope they stay forever.  Minus the germ infested solo gloves…they must go…eventually.  Long live MJ!

7.  Trolls with Big Daddy!  Josh’s dad loves to go to the movies.  We actually rarely go…7 people x movie ticket price = mucho money.  To beat our election day blues though Josh came home early to work from home and watch our littlest while me and the kids went to see Trolls.  We asked Big Daddy to join us…our treat.  Tuesday matinee + $2 treats = more affordable.  Plus, Trolls was crazy catchy.  We all enjoyed it.

8.  And finally getting an oil change when you are crazy over due.  I kept putting it off and putting it off.  I would drive nervously imaging my transmission falling out right in the middle of the road.  Finally bit the bullet and we all went to get it done.  Thank you oil change guys for noticing our small tribe and getting us in and out quickly.  You likely spared the other people in your waiting room trauma 🙂

Happy Wednesday you guys!!!
