Fun New Orders

Today I took a ton of orders to the post office…seriously I wish I had taken a picture.  If it tells you anything I paid $75 in shipping and my favorite postman guy Ricky said he was impressed with my receipt length.  Needless to say, I felt great walking out of the post office knowing all those orders were done, out of my hands and on their way to their new owners.  I could put lines through tons of orders on my order list…it was a GOOD day!  So check out some of what went out today.

These key fobs are headed to Tamara in North Carolina, Amber in Indiana, Donna in Missouri, Heather in Michigan, Heather in California, Melissa in Florida and Adrian here in Tennessee.  Hope everyone loves their key fobs and thanks so much ladies.

And this set of Africa key fobs are headed to Christina in Minnesota.  Their family is adopting from Ethiopia and she is giving these as gifts to the people who are throwing their family baby showers.  I LOVE this idea.  What a sweet reminder to the people who will be receiving these.  Thanks so much Christina.

And this last set of key fobs is headed to Chelsea in Texas.  She is about to have a sweet little baby and wanted special gifts for all the people throwing her showers as well.  Seriously, what a great idea all of you are having.  Thanks so much Chelsea.

This next order is headed to Amber in Indiana.  She needed some sweet little cloth blocks…one boy, one girl.  Thanks so much Amber and hope these special little ones love their gifts.

This next piece is headed to Tanya in Virginia.  She was the custom 8×10 art winner over at UCreate.  I was super excited to make her a custom piece just like she wanted.  Thanks so much Tanya for being so easy to work with.  Hope you love your piece.

This next tee is headed to Amber in Hendersonville, Tennessee.  Amber was another giveaway winner…custom tee winner over at Little Bit Funky.  Amber couldn’t decide on a tee for one of her kiddos, so she went with one for herself.  I love when moms order something for themselves.  This design is so neat to me…a heart for each kiddo, the fabric matches their personality and their last name initial in the middle of all the hearts.  I really enjoyed making this.  Thanks so much Amber and hope you love the tee.

This next order was placed by Jamie in Franklin, Tennessee.  She liked the recent birdie bow holder I made and wanted one for a sweet friends little baby.  I do love this little bird.  Thanks so much Jamie for your business.

And lastly these two bags are headed to Angie in Indiana and Debb in Idaho.  Angie wanted a Vietnam bag and Debb loved the recent paisley Africa bag I made.  Thanks so much ladies and hope you sport your bags proudly.

Thank you guys so much for all the business.  It is so much fun to create and make all these items.  Hope everyone has a great Wednesday night!

We had a crazy fun weekend with Sol’s Gotcha Day party! So fun to celebrate with family and friends his first year home.  Love you baby boy!

Here are some recent orders that are headed out this week.  Jamie in Texas loved the recent baby C  cloth taggie block I made and wanted the same one for a friend of hers baby.  Still love this color combo.  Thanks so much Jamie.

This key fob is headed to my cousin Sarah in Nashville.  She actually won one of the recent key fob giveaways.  She wanted her initials on her key fob.  Thanks Sarah and hope you loved it.

This Africa bag is headed to Stacy in Wisconsin.  She loved this purple blue paisley print and wanted a small heart over Ethiopia!  Love these colors.  Thanks so much Stacy.  I do still have two bags left and have three more in the works…so let me know if you are interested in one.

These two key fobs are headed to Heather in California.  Thanks so much Heather and hope you and your mom love them.   Key fobs have been crazy lately.  I pumped out 36 of them this weekend…all with text or appliques…too fun!  Waiting on some new hardware to finish them all up and I will post more pictures.  NOTE:  That is why these fobs are hardwareless 🙂

And here are some new fabric options that have been added.  Thanks everyone and don’t forget to enter the giveaway.  Happy MOnday!

Grateful Giveaway

Well here we are…another giveaway.  This one is a bit different from  the last few.  I will have quite a hard time letting this one go and not because I think it’s so great, but because I am sentimental about it.  Our family has been receiving Kroger gift cards in the mail since near the beginning of the year, from someone totally anonymous.  They always come near the end of the month and I venture out to the mailbox and there mixed in with our mail is a small, bubble wrap manila envelope with our address, a bogus return address and an amazingly generous Kroger gift card…that’s just the way it has been.  The first one we received I cried.  I started calling all kinds of people accusing (in a good way) them of being the anonymous person.  And back to that bogus return address, I know it is bogus because I exhausted myself, along with Josh and my brother Chris, trying to Google Earth it, Google it and I even went so far to call the post office…a little crazy?  Well yes, but I am a huge “thank you” person.  It is just in my blood.  I try my darndest to send a thank you note for nice things people do for me or our family.  You will never come to one of my kiddo’s birthday parties and not receive a handmade thank you note in the mail a few weeks later.  That’s just how we roll.  My mom instilled this in me and I will pass this along to my kids.  So I just could not imagine not thanking whoever this was.  I mean, they NEEDED and DESERVED a spectacular handmade thank you note and I was itching to make it and write it.  Then my sister-in-law Kim told me that whoever this was wanted to be anonymous and I should just leave it at that and be thankful.  So I did.  I always put a thank you up on my Facebook and on here, just in case whoever anonymous is, is reading because I want them to know how insanely grateful our family is.

Now back to the giveaway.  I could never bring myself to toss the little envelopes the gift cards would come in, so I started stashing them away.  Each envelope had lots of stamps on them…all 1 cent or 5 cent…all small increments, so the wheels started turning.  So in honor of whoever is sending us the Kroger gift cards–this giveaway is for you.  Part of me wanted to keep it, but I knew that what better than to give it away, like this person or family has so graciously given to us.  So up for grabs is this 10×10 “grateful” mixed media piece.  It has every stamp that has adorned these sweet little envelopes.  Do you see why I love this?!?

You can enter lots of ways…as always:

Please leave a separate comment for each entry because I do write down all the names on little slips of paper and let my oldest and girliest assistant draw the winner (AKA Harper).  Separate comments just makes it a bit easier 🙂  The giveaway will end Monday night, really late because those are the hours I keep.  I will announce the winner on Tuesday.

And here are some  recent orders.  These key fobs are headed to Vicki in California (UCreate key fob winner), Elisabeth in Virgina and Tracy in Hendersonville, Tn (Little Bit Funky key fob winner).  Elisabeth wanted a special key fob for a lady who had donated a very generous amount to their adoption fund for their daughter Leah…I just loved this key fob.  Thanks so much ladies and hope you love them.

This next order was placed by Angie in Arlington, Tn.  Angie wanted a camera strap for her camera.  She already had the extra hardware and just needed the strap to be 30″ and the key fob hardware on both ends.  I love her fabric choice and color combination.  Thanks so much Angie.

This next baby set was ordered by Ellen in Hendersonville, Tn.  Ellen is my “always returning” customer and I love her for it.  She needed a sweet little monkey baby set and left the rest up to me.  I really like how it turned out.  Thanks so much Ellen, as always.

This next sweet little piece is headed to Lori in Hendersonville, Tn.  Lori had a Pitter Patter gift certificate and was ready to cash it in for her new little boy Beckett.  She ended up deciding on a 8×10 canvas and wanted the scripture Mark 12:30.  She also liked the idea of the letter b in a circle, so I went with it and I love how it turned out.  Thanks so much Lori and hope it looks perfect in Beckett’s room.

And lastly, these two Names of Jesus pieces are headed to Crissy in Georgia and Mary in, well ??…Mary’s is a gift and thought her info should remain nameless and maybe her name isn’t even Mary at all 🙂  So we will just leave it at that.  Crissy and her husband chose the 24×36 canvas to go over their mantle in their home…love it!  And Mary’s is a 16×20 canvas…perfect to go just about anywhere.  Thanks so much ladies!

Happy Friday and good luck in the giveaway!

Monday Night Madness

Well it has been pure madness around our house lately.  Business is crazy, awesome…THANK YOU!!!  One really fun thing is that my niece McKinley had her 5th birthday party.  She went with a princess theme and asked all the girls to dress up.  We did not have a princess dress, so this was special for Harper to go pick one out and she just about had a heart attack choosing between Princess Tianna and Snow White.

And I made this crown tee for McKinley as part of her gift and finished it out with Fancy Nancy Books…we love Fancy Nancy and hoping McKinley will too!

And we moved our boys from their cribs to twin beds.  To say that they love it would be a complete understatement.  Let’s take a look at the before:

And the after:

Bed switch = success!!

I just thought the above was a little too cute to keep to myself.  And now for some orders…

This first order was placed by Courtney here in Nashville.  She is leaving this week with her husband to go pick up their sweet little boy from Ethiopia.  This is their little ones Welcome Home tee that he will be sporting in the Nashville airport…yea!!  Thanks again Courtney.

This order is headed to Rory in Oregon.  She wanted a very specific piece of art to celebrate her wedding anniversary.  They wanted me to combine “Your children will be like olive shoots around your table…” and “like arrows in the hands of a warrior” taken from Psalm 127 & 128 and One Million Arrows.  I worked very closely with them to make sure this was exactly what they were envisioning.  I did not want to be the one to mess up a special anniversary gift 🙂  Thanks so much Rory and glad you love it.

This order is headed to Jenna in Johnson City, Tn.  She wanted a special tee to wear to support her boyfriend who is competing in the Iron Man in Louisville, KY at the end of August.  We ended up going with the outline of Kentucky and the Iron Man logo.  I love this combination of fabrics and colors.  Thanks so much Jenna and good luck to your guy!

And lastly, these key fobs are headed to Ivy in Georgia.  She wanted one with Peru and one with New Guinea.  I love the fact that I am doing all these outlines of all different places…too fun.  Thanks so much Ivy and hope you and your friend love them.

And just for smiles and maybe a few laughs…this picture captures the crazy quirkiness of my kiddos…got to love them!

Happy Monday…maybe technically Tuesday!

And this next little art piece could be yours as well.  I was asked to participate in an online auction to help raise money for the Sullinger Family.  Their little daughter Preslee fell in a canal and was found 2 miles downstream.  Preslee is now in the ICU at Primary Children’s Hospital in Idaho.  Jessica Larsen Photography asked me to donate something for the auction and this is the sweet little piece I made.  Click here if you would like to place a bid on this piece and to see all the amazing things up for grabs. And please pray for this sweet child’s recovery.

This next order was placed by Heather in Ireland.  Yes, Ireland.  Heather is now my over seas returning customer…thank you Heather.  She need some sweet little tees for a new big sister and her new little sister.  She also wanted a cloth taggie block for the new little sister.

And lastly I posted a picture of a bad I appliqued with an Africa a bit ago on Facebook and got quite a few emails/comments about orders for them.  So I bought a few bags today and have them up for sale.  The bag in the picture is the same bag that I bought and in the same color and style…so it is the exact same bag.  You can pick your own fabric choice for me to use.  Also I only bought 5 and currently only have three available.  So please email me ASAP is you would like one.  They cost $45 and the bags are 15×14 in size.  It has 2 long outside side pockets, 1 big snap pocket on the outside (where the applique will be sewn), 2 inside open loose pockets and 1 inside zip pocket.  Again I have a very limited amount of these so if you are interested please shoot me an email and we can work out all the details — pitterpatterart@gmail.com

Hope everyone has a great Thursday!

Sol’s Gotcha Day

Yesterday was Sol’s Gotcha Day…the day when he was placed in our arms permanently…the day he was officially in our care…the day God had orchestrated so long before he was born or before our family started on that journey to him.  It was simply a beautiful, life changing day that will forever be engraved on our hearts.  The staff at his transition home brought all the kids to the guest house where our entire travel group was staying together and we laughed through tears upon seeing him, as he was dressed in full girl clothing, but you better believe that is an outfit that never will be consigned.

I remember we sat around with our entire group and just soaked up what exactly was taking place.  I fixed him a bottle, we gave him a bath, put him in our favorite pair of PJs that were Huddy’s and introduced him to his blankie and paci…which he is still in love with.

He was the youngest in our travel group and everyone raved at how content, sweet and just plain gorgeous he was.  We even got lots of comments from other Ethiopians about how he looked like our child.  We revelled in it.  It was such a special time with just Josh, Sol and myself.  A time for us to just be with him and him alone…to look at him, smother him with kisses and hugs and snuggles, get to know him, just be with OUR son.  Life has never been the same since and we are forever grateful to God for that fact.  All children joining families through birth or adoption change you and Sol certainly changed our entire family.  We are purely honored to be his parents and feel that it is an insanely amazing blessing to be his mom and dad.  And all of our children LOVE and I say again LOVE each other.  There is just about nothing sweeter than seeing them all interact the way they do everyday.  It’s love in one of the purest forms.

So next weekend we will be celebrating with a small group of friends and family in honor of this oh, so special day.  There may even be an Africa cake in our future…pretty sure I can draw it with my eyes closed by now.  I will post some orders later this evening that are almost complete.  And don’t forget to click here and make a comment over at Little Bit Funky to enter to win a Pitter Patter custom tee and custom key fob. Happy Tuesday!
