I Hate Being Late & The Winner Is…

I hate to be late.  If anything I am always early.  I feel like if I say I will be somewhere or do something by a certain time or date, then I should stick with my word.  I said we were going to draw the winner for the Gatlinburg weekend tonight at 9 sharp, but sometimes life happens and some things have to take back seat.  My oldest boy, Huddy, is a very allergic/sick kid sometimes and today proved once again to me, that sometimes life just happens.  Huddy woke up this morning and was having issues breathing.  I gave him a breathing treatment and thought that everything was fine.  Then 2:30 this afternoon rolled around and I was proven wrong.  He started wheezing really bad, was having a super hard time breathing, puked trying to catch his breath (which Sol then stepped all in) and when I looked at his stomach he was taking really hard quick breaths, so much I could see his rib cage with each breath.  He has been in respiratory distress before and this was exactly what I was seeing again.  I called the doctor’s office immediately and they said I needed to bring him in NOW!  So off we went.  They met me at the door and immediately took him back and started giving him steroids and back to back breathing treatments…2 hours later and his breathing was still not where it should have been, so they sent us off to the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital emergency room.  We had done this before, but it’s never what you want to do.

You would have never known he was sick or struggling to breath by his actions and his disposition.  He loved on and chatted with every doctor and nurse.  He could not have been better.  We have been home for about an hour or so now and Huddy is fine and breathing great and ASLEEP.  More steroids and an almost 2 hour straight breathing treatment of the “good stuff” and they released us.  Needless to say we are tired, but just glad he is breathing the way he should be.  So that is why 9 o’clock sharp for drawing a winner just didn’t happen.  Like I said I hate to be late, but sometimes you just can’t help it.

So how about the winner now.  Thank you to everybody that donated and helped us spread the word.  We did awesome and so thankful for every penny that is in our adoption fund now because of your generosity.

HUGE thanks to Butch and Becky Duke of Uncle Buds Log Cabin Rentals for making such an amazingly generous donation yet again.  And to my lovely assistant Josh, who just wanted to go to bed, but stuck it out with me.

And the winner is…

Congratulations Tubby Cat.  I will send you an email and get you all the information needed to get you started on your Gatlinburg weekend.

And I thought I would throw in a recent art order that I just finished up last night.  These three pieces were ordered by Angela in Mississippi.  Angela wanted me to use three different verses and I was so excited to make these.  Angela was just a pleasure to work with.  Thanks again so much Angela.

Friday LOVE

First off…what about these boys?

My heart is so full with all the love and joy these two bring, along with Harper.  And I cannot wait to see the face of our third little boy. I know that he is going to be pure joy also.

And my husband Josh, can I just say, he is the best.  Truly!

He started a blog a while back and has been off the blogging wagon for while now, but has jumped back on with an amazing post…if I do say so myself.  Go check out his site HERE and show him some love. It really is a darn good post. Really insanely proud to say he’s my husband.

Also today is the last day for our Gatlingburg Weekend getaway.  CLICK here to read about all the details. We will be drawing a winner tonight at 9pm.  Remember all the money raised goes directly into our adoption account.

And here are some recent orders.  Tons of key fobs being ordered and more to still finish up.  These key fobs were ordered by Angie in Texas, Erica in Hendersonville, Tn, Cara in Texas, April in Texas and Jen in Hendersonville, Tn.  Thanks so much ladies.  Looks like Texas has caught onto to key fobs.

These sweet baby sets are headed to Angela in Georgia.  Awww, how football season is upon us.  Thanks so much Angela and hope all the little babies and their mommas love their Pitter Patter goodies!

This piece was ordered by Karyn in Memphis, Tn.  She loved the recent 15×30 Scarlett name piece I made and needed a very special baby gift for a sweet baby girl who is on her way.  Sweet Charlotte Hope.  Thanks so much Karyn…a total pleasure.

And this 8×10 Africa piece is a donated piece for a fundraiser.

Remember we will be drawing the winner of the Gatlingburg weekend tonight at 9 sharp.  Happy Friday!

What A Wednesday!

Awww, so glad that it is Wednesday.  So many things have been going on I can barely see straight.  I have tons of orders going including 5 pieces of art, a ton of key fobs, baby gifts…you name it.  It’s crazy, but I am OH SO THANKFUL.  But first things first…we are done with our homestudy!  Our social worker came bright and early this morning and in no time flat, WE WERE DONE!  So glad that paperwork is our of our house.  The good part is she said she would have it done in about a week.  We have our dossier paperwork complete too (HUGE SMILE ON MY FACE)…just need those big Tennessee State Seals on them and our I-171H and we will be on the waiting list.  So stinkin’ excited.  To celebrate I am giving away a free custom key fob over on my Facebook page…CLICK HERE and enter to win.

I will draw a winner tonight at 9pm and will post the winner on Facebook!

Also for another opportunity to win a custom key fob check out Frugalissa Finds.  I am a guest giveaway this week and up for grabs is a custom key fob of winners choice.  Just CLICK HERE and leave a comment on the post and enter to win.

More fun stuff.  I got my long and sought after Africa stamp in the mail Monday and I have our thank you gifts ready.  With Sol’s adoption I wanted something to send people when they just made a donation…they didn’t order anything or they didn’t enter to win something, they just felt like giving and we were the recipients of their gift.  So we made these little bracelets, that I so loved and actually am still wearing one of them around my wrist.  I wanted to do something similar this time around, but wanted it to be different.  And here is what I have come up with:

I have some that have hearts and some that are just the Africa.  I am so in love with these sweet little bracelets.  I really think they are the best.  So whenever someone makes a donation to us, one of these sweet bracelets will be in the mail just to say thank you for your support.

And I actually already got an order from a customer wanting me to use the Africa stamp, Courtney in Nashville.  She wanted the 1″ size pendant with her son’s name and Gotcha Day.  How stinkin sweet.  Thanks so much Courtney.

And here is another bracelet I made up.  This is on the 3/4″ size.

And more new fabrics are in.  Love these.

And last, but certainly not least…we will be drawing a winner this Friday for the Gatlinburg Cabin weekend getaway thanks to Butch and Becky Duke of Uncle Buds Log Cabin Rentals. Please CLICK HERE to read all the details or just scroll down.  If you have any questions or would like more information PLEASE email me pitterpatterart@gmail.com  I would be more than happy to help!  And thanks to everyone who has already entered and donated.
