Who Was First In Line At Toys R Us You Ask…

well it was I.  Oh how my heart was pumping and my adrenaline was at an all time high.  Black Friday is a day that I totally love.  And as sad as it may be, I was only at Toys R Us for a $13 dump truck, 2 boxes of Matchbox cars that were $4.99 and a set of Blendy Pens for $11.  Ended up getting a $10 Zhu Zhu pet too, just because, well why not get the years most sought after toy for my niece only to find out that her Nana had already bought one.  Mr Squiggles has since found a home all thanks to Craigslist.  It really is just the thrill of being first in line, saving some money and just being apart of the crazy experience.  While in line all night, I decided that they should have given me a gold shopping cart and that a manager should have pushed me around the parking lot in my gold cart like the Grand Marshall of Black Friday before they opened the doors.  I think this would have worked out nicely.  Am I tired, definitely, but it was so worth it and so much fun.  It also makes for some great stories like the lady who broke down crying in the aisle because she thought the toy she wanted was gone or being taunted by a bunch of girls in a van about 10 feet from me while I was preparing to run like mad through Toys R Us or how about yelling at Toys R Us employess to please direct me to where the Matchbox cars were.  Still makes me laugh out loud.  And while I’m at it, I was also #8 in line at Target.  I know, it’s insanity.  And thanks to my cousin Rebecca for braving the cold and all the crazies with me.  Here’s to next year!

Not sure why I have Ninja Turtle hands here, but it’s suppose to be my #8 at Target.

Now for some Pitter Patter business, November 30th is still the last day to order for Christmas orders and anything you want before the 1st of the year. I have several new products to share and hopefully will recover from my 29 hours awake Black Friday binge soon.  Can’t wait…super excited.  So Happy Thanksgiving and Happy Black Friday.

November 30th Is Approaching

Don’t forget your last day to order for Christmas items and for items you will need before the 1st of the new year is November 30th.  Now onto some orders.

This first shirt is headed to Texas to a sweet little girl named Story who just made it home from Haiti to be with her family.  I talked with her mom Jamie about making something special for Story and it was so much fun to do because Jamie gave me total creative control and didn’t even want to see pictures or know what I was making.  Story’s dad is Aaron Ivey, who is an amazing muscian and plays the piano.  He has written some of the sweetest songs about adoption that just make my heart happy, so I decided to make Story a piano shirt.  I think it turned out great and I know Story will just look like a doll in it.  Thanks Jamie for allowing me to have creative freedom with Story’s shirt.  It was a pleasure.

These Africa shirts were ordered by Cindi in Texas.  Her family just got their referral for their sweet little baby boy from Ethiopia.  So exciting.  Thanks Cindi so much and hope everything still goes smoothly throughout the rest of your process.  Congrats.

This 11×14 red poppy painting was ordered by Karen.  This is a throwback painting and actually I have not just painted in a long time.  It was so nice to just paint.  Thanks Karen for ordering this and making me pick up my brushes again.

Have a great Thanksgiving holiday.

Deadline For Christmas Is November 30th

I wanted to let everyone know that if you want something for Christmas the deadline to order by is November 3oth.  Also I will be taking no new orders after November 30th, until the New Year.  I have lots of presents to make and I want to enjoy the holidays with my family.  And can you believe 4 months ago today we landed at the Nashville airport with our sweet boy Sol.  Wow how time really flys.  Even more so, last Thanksgiving was when we announced and started our adoption process…crazy what God had in store for our little family in less than a year.  And I will leave you with a new order placed by Kelly.  Kelly is throwing her little boy Drew a Where The Wild Things Are birthday party and needed something for Drew to sport.  After emailing over different ideas, Kelly decided she wanted the crown and scepter.  Thanks Kelly…again and hope Drew has the best Wild Things party ever.

I’m Leavin’ On A Jet Plane

So I am leaving Friday morning and headed south to Florida to visit my best friend Ashley in Orlando and get this…I’m going all by my self.  My birthday was at the beginning of November and for my birthday present my sweet husband Josh decided to send me on a weekend vacation and I could not be more excited.  Josh travels a lot and racks up quite a bit of frequent flier miles, so the best part is that my flight is free.  But he will be home alone with the three wee ones…hopefully I will not come home to him duct taped to a chair and leftovers of Cheetos and M&Ms scattered around the house (we don’t really have Cheetos or M&Ms in the house…not that I don’t love both).  So no work for me this weekend!  I will be back at it come Monday and for now here are some recent orders.

These Africa shirts were ordered by Erin in Missouri.  They are on the waiting list for their baby girl in Ethiopia and she wanted shirts for her daughter and son.  Good luck Erin and thanks so much.

This order was placed by Joy in Alabama.  She wanted a cute block and tee for her son Eli and then Africa shirts for her two daughters from Ethiopia.  It was such a pleasure Joy…thanks again.

Hope everyone has a great weekend…I know I will.  Thank you Josh Kelley!

Celebrating Adoption Plates

This order was placed by Julie in Missouri.  She wanted special plates for each of her boys who are adopted from Ethiopia.  Instead of celebrating “Gotcha Day” they celebrate the day they received the picture and information on each of their boys.  She wanted a plate for both of them to use on their special day.  I thought that was such a sweet idea.  Thanks Julie for your order and hope your boys love their special plates.

My Husband Is Blogging

My husband Josh just got back from Swaziland last week and is now on a mission and has a fire under him.  He is blogging now, so please check it out and read about his heart for Africa and especially the people of Swaziland.  You can check it our here www.joshuankelley.com. And this is one of my favorite pictures ever of my sweet, hottie of a husband.  I truly love, love, love his heart.

I’m Running OUt of Titles

This first order was placed by Ashley in Kentucky.  She wanted a tractor tee, boy skully tee, tank tee and a sweet little pink cupcake tee.  Thanks Ashley so much and hope everyone loves their shirts.

This next order was placed by Amanda in Franklin.  She is due anyday with her first son and needed a special shirt for her little girl to sport at the hospital.  I love all the different patterns and pretty pinks.  Thanks Amanda and good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

My friend Courtney ordered these cute little girl tees and they are headed to Texas.  Thanks Courtney…as always.

And lastly is an acorn shirt for my niece Campbell.  My sister-in-law Jen sawthe previous acorn shirt I had done and decided Campbell needed one.  I was happy to do it of course.
