Archives for August 2009

Update

I wanted to let everyone know that I had originally said that all money made on this site from August until January would go to send myself along with a group of adults to serve in the All Saints AIDs camp in Nassau…well I have had a small change of heart.  I just feel I am so blessed and people in America in general are very very rich compared to the rest of the world.  I feel that instead of the money going to send us to serve, that it should go directly to the people in the AIDs camp.  So please know that all Pitter Patter money from August until January will now go directly to the actual people who reside in the AIDs camp.  I will be purchasing tons of donations to take to these people.  So again, you will be getting a great product and directly impacting someone who is dying of AIDs in Nassau.  Unique items for a great cause.

Now for some orders.  These two shirts were ordered by my friend Courtney.  Courtney is a “come back often” customer, if there ever was one.

This Names of Jesus piece was ordered by Kelley in Murfreesboro.  I am totally in love with this 24×48 size and really need one for my own house.  Thanks Kelley for your order.

And lastly, these sweet little shirts will be heading to China with my little niece Meiya.  Her 1st birthday is tomorrow and then Tuesday she will be flying to China with her parents for an entire year.  This little lady will be missed so badly…I suppose her parents will be missed too.  Love you Meiya and happy 1st birthday.

Also I will be taking no new orders until September.  I am swamped and need to catch up desperately.  I will post as soon as I am taking new orders.  Thanks everyone.

Randomly

Wanted to post some recent items I have completed.  No rhyme of reason to this post…I think no sleep might be finally getting to me 🙂  This shirt I made for my niece McKinley’s 4th birthday party.  I think it is super girly and that McKinley will just look sweet in it.

This painting is for good friends of ours, Tracy and Clay, who are adopting a baby boy from Ethiopia.  Their court date is actually in 1 week and if everything goes smoothly, which it will, they will be traveling in September to pick baby Nile up.  Tracy needed something special for Nile’s nursery…I really like how this painting turned out.

Here are also a few other items for baby Nile.

Lastly, here is a letter set that is headed to Mississippi.  Thanks Amie for your order and hope your little girl loves it.

My baby girl is just not a baby any more.  Harper starts “school” this Thursday and she couldn’t be more excited.  Now it’s only 2 days a week, but I just cannot believe this day is here.  Tonight Josh and I took her out by herself, let her choose where we ate and then went and picked out all her school supplies together.  She loved it.  While we were driving home she even said, “I’m glad we dropped the boys off at the Kelley’s house…Big Daddy’s house.”  She really had a good time and we really let her have freedom to choose, despite what we…I mean, what I liked.  Two things she was tickled pink about, were her Hello Kitty backpack and a cat folder.  At one point she just could not decide between 2 different cat folders, a frog and a dog folder.  This was just not an easy choice, so she needed to spread them out in the aisle, take a seat and really deliberate.  Finally the choice was made and a pink cat won.  So after we get home, me being the teacher that I was, I knew everything and I mean everything needed to be labeled, so I got to work.  I really did not want to write her name on her backpack, but always hated when my student’s names were not clearly seen, so I decided to make Harper a name tag for her backpack.  I really like how it turned out and I know Harper is just going to love it.  She can already recognize her first name, so I think she will be pretty excited about it.  I will be selling these for $5, so let me know if you are interested.  So Thursday is Harper’s big day and I cannot wait to pick her up and hear all about how it went.  I am such a proud mom.

The Craziness Has Begun

It is official our life is so full and so fun and so crazy.  With 3 under 3 there is never a dull moment and it just could not be going any better.  Orders have been crazy also and it’s not even officially August 1st…God is just TOO good and I am so grateful.  So here are some recent orders all done, being packaged this weekend and should be mailed out to their new owners soon.

This order was placed by Brittany for friend of hers who just gave birth to her daughter baby Blair.  The new mom loves green and pink.  I think the order turned out great and thanks so much Brittany.

This next order is for Kristy in Wisconsin.  She will be going soon to pick up her little girl from Ethiopia.  Kristy needed some brown Africa shirts for her mom and her, a small matching pink one and a little cloth block for her new little girl.  So exciting and thanks Kristy.  Congrats.

Amy from Florida ordered this next tee for her little boy who LOVES skulls and crossbones.  Amy also wanted his initial on the shirt and this is what I came up with.  Hope your little guy loves the shirt and thanks so much Amy.

And lastly, Meredith from North Carolina, ordered this sweet little shirt for her little girl’s cow themed birthday party.  So much fun to make this shirt.  Hope the party is blast and thanks for you order Meredith.

Have a great weekend!
