Cupcake and Crossbones

I know I’ve mentioned this before, but Harper will be turning ONE in just 3 short weeks and we are having a cupcake birthday party.  So I just had to share my recent creation for her birthday party.  I’ve also mentioned that I am painting plates for all the little ones possibly coming to her party, but I was stumped on the boys plates.  I wanted to stick with the cupcake theme, but wanted it to be somewhat boyish.  My little cousin Grant inspired me with his love of pirates and from there it was a piece of cake or should I say cupcake.  I knew Grant would love for his plate to have crossbones behind his manly cupcake and Cooper is really into the whole skater scene so I knew crossbones would work for him too.  Garrett and Jack, I figured are just too little to really care.  So cupcake and crossbones it was for all the boys.  Check them out.  Also I am entertaining the idea of possibly trying to sell painted plates.  Would anyone out there be interested?

Harper’s Turtle

I recently bought a pack of cute onesies for Harper’s summer wardrobe, but thought they were a little plain.  So I am slowly, but surely adding  a little something to each of them.  Today I finished a little girly turtle for her.  She even wore it and broke it in with some carrots on the bottom half and some dirt on the sleeve.  I thought it turned out pretty cute.  Let me know if I can make a sweet little boy or girl turtle for your little one.

Remember These Guys?

I posted these burpcloths a while back and they were purchased by a customer to give as a baby gift. Well, the mom-to-be liked them so much, she sent me an email requesting matching onesies to go with each burp cloth. I always aim to please, so I got right on it. Here are the matching onesies I completed. I hope she likes them. Thanks for your business Abby! Good luck with little Jackson.

Burp Cloth and Onesie Set

I just finished a custom order for matching burp cloths and onesies.  The customer wanted the cute girly umbrella and a birdie set to give as gifts.  I think they turned out great and hope she loves them.  Let me know if I can make you a set as well.  They make great and unique baby gifts.

Sweet Day

A while back I read a tutorial on how to paint on glass plates.  It was so neat and I loved the idea that I had to try it out for myself.  I’ve mentioned before that Harper’s 1st birthday is right around the corner and I thought it would be neat to make Harper a plate and all her little friends that came to the party.  We are going with a cupcake theme, so of coarse a cupcake needs to adorn each plate.  Yesterday we went to Joanns and got all our paint and I bought a $1.00 glass plate at Walmart.  Last night I did my trial run.  I think it turned out great and it actually didn’t take me that long.  I did have to paint onto the back of the plate though, because the paint is not safe for food, so the back isn’t that pretty, but who’s looking at the back anyway.  I imagine this being Harper’s favorite plate to eat off of and requesting it often.  For the birthday plates, I’m going to put each kid’s name on their plate.  I’ll post the finished products later.
