You’re My Sweet-Heart

I feel like my mind is in one million places, so here’s a bit of randomness for the day.

Harper is in Gym & Swim Camp during the day this week and is sooo loving it.  Locals should definitely check it out.  The boys and I ran some errands yesterday and one included Target.  We were having Target popcorn withdrawals…not anymore

I’m not big on canned frosting…not that it’s really bad or anything, I just have a major love affair with homemade cream cheese frosting.  It’s a really bad obsession of mine.  BUT I do adore canned rainbow chip icing with Funfetti cupcakes…it’s the only way to go when it comes to Funfetti cake.  And what’s even better…fun colored rainbow chip icing.  You should really, really try it.

Baskin Robins for an afternoon snack is ALWAYS, I repeat, ALWAYS a good idea.  I was shocked with the wee Kelley’s choices…mint chocolate chip for Harper, peach cobbler for Huddy and chocolate and vanilla swirl for Sol.  Did not see any of those choices coming.  I, on the other hand, had the Snickers icecream and it was out of this world…it was LOVE!

The boys are currently obsessed with three things: superheros, baseball and fighting.  Huddy is completely and madly in love with his blades…pirate sword, knight sword, small foam knife and Thor’s dagger.  These are never far from his reach.  We’re fairly confident he’s going to be the kid in his basement trying to buy a rare Samurai sword on Ebay, instead of partying with his friends.  He loves a good knife fight.

We’ve been working on Amon’s small little corner of the boy’s room…aka putting his crib together.  Yes, all three boys will be in the same room…we have a little house   Last night I finished up his crib skirt and I am super happy with it.  The boy’s room has no theme whatsoever…just a random hodge podge of things I and they like mushed together.  So some vintagey camera fabric fit right in.  I love this print.

Waiting for our embassy date is getting a little harder as each day goes by and I do realize we have only been back for a week.  But my heart is really ready for him to be home…things just aren’t always what they appear and for this Momma’s heart, it would be really…like really, really good to have him home asap.  Praying great big, huge, absurd prayers for our little guy.

And I’ll leave you with my new favorite song.  Totally crazy about this song…have played it one million times and counting.  Have several of The Lumineers songs…which are all delightful…but this one takes the cake.  It’s my Amon Song.  Listen and completely enjoy!!!
