5 Things

Hi!

1.  The sugar detox is still going strong…I did not eat the skittles.  Josh Kelley and I have not cheated any and we both feel great.  Do I miss cookies?  Well, of course.  Who wouldn’t miss cookies…and popcorn…and other crunchy things.  I love a good crunch, but we’re still going strong.  We’ve been trying to get creative with foods so they don’t get monotonous.  BLTs with turkey on coconut bread, fried cauliflower “rice”, chicken and lime soup and nuts & water with lemon are still my go-to.  The fried cauliflower was delicious and the entire family devoured it…I added a bunch of shredded chicken to it and extra tamari.  The chicken and lime soup is all made up and sitting in our fridge…I’ll report back.

I’ve never cooked more in my life and we do major food prep on Sundays.  So washing and cutting up all our veggies, washing all the fruits, prepping multiple meals ahead of time to make them quick during our busy week and cooking all our meats.  I think one of the keys to this is being prepared.

Sidenote:  I started soaking our fruits in 1 part vinegar to 10 parts water for 10 minutes and it has prevented molding.  I was shocked.  I could not believe it worked, but it has and now I’m a believer.  Thank you Pinterest.

2.  Sunday we absolutely wore these 2 out.  I mean OUT!  And then they were adorable sleeping like little zombies on our couch…which our littlest wrote all over with a brown marker last week.  We shall never speak of this again.  Ugh!

3.  Probably should have put this under #1, but oh well.  I didn’t get to sample these because they were eaten up immediately and Harper said they were the best pancakes I’ve ever made.  I could have partaken because I left out the honey/maple syrup.  I was thinking about topping them with almond butter and berries, but then all these small humans devoured them before I knew it.  Gone.

4.  I hope you added the Noonday party to your calendar.  And if you can’t make it, don’t forget you can order any Noonday items HERE and our party still gets the credit.  Perfect timing for Christmas and you are making those purchases count.

And 5.  I finished up a few last orders and now I am in full on Made South Holiday Market prep.  Yesterday I cut out 5000 pieces of key fob fabric 🙂  This whole show thing is brand new to me, so we will see how this goes.  If you want to snag some PPA goodies in time for Christmas grab an early bird ticket for the market and come check out our booth.

Hope everyone’s week is off to a great start.  It’s practically, almost Friday!

Happy Tuesday.

Order Love

December was so crazy busy and I didn’t get a chance to post a lot of orders.  Thought I would post a few today.  I was pretty busy and even forgot to take photos of some.  Oh well.  I am so thankful for your business this year.  It was awesome to work with each customer.  I love my job!

And I’m taking orders again.  Already getting busy on some.  You can place an order by emailing me at pitterpatterart at gmail dot com  If you use the Contact Laura button at the top and I do/did not reply it is because I did not get the email.  The button is still not working 100% so please email me directly.  Hoping to get it fixed asap.

Thank you, thank you, thank you again.  Hope you enjoy your New Year’s Eve.

Happy Wednesday!

Lovely Color

More and more orders are heading out each week.  Last week there wasn’t much work going on with fall break in full swing, so thank you for your patience.  It feels good to be back at it this week and I am just so thankful to God for the opportunities He gives me to create, work and help provide for our family and to give.  I never want to take for granted that He is the one who has equipped me with creativeness and the opportunity to share it with others.  He is so good.

More name pillows headed out.  When customers order these they give me the name and a color scheme preference and I do the rest.  I love picking and choosing and pairing all the fabrics and lovely colors…my favorite part about the entire process.

A sweet little airplane shirt for my friends little boy.  I love when friends and family want me to create special things for their kiddos or homes.  These are easily my favorite kind of orders.

An all pink text key fob order.  You guys…too much fun with this one.  Loved picking out the variety of pink fabrics..the verse…the story behind it all which the customer chose to share with me…the whole thing was just a privilege to be apart of.

And lastly these two 4×12 Isaiah 46:4 canvases I actually just finished up today.  “I have made you.  I will carry you.  I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”  Yes!  Such promise and such hope.  And clearly I never tire of an insane amount of color.

Thank you always for your orders.  It’s an honor and a privilege and thank you for trusting me with creating something special and unique.  Please know I am deeply humbled and always grateful.

Enjoy your afternoon.

Happy Tuesday!

Holla!

It’s Wednesday and this week has already been a whirlwind with a strange sick kid.  Thankfully she’s feeling better today and they ruled out some serious stuff which we were so very thankful for.  Harper literally sat on our couch this morning and just boo hoo’ed because she was missing another day of school and she missed art yesterday which was close to the end of the world.  Poor kid!  She gets it honestly 🙂

I haven’t been able to work much this week so far, so for all of you who have orders placed I promise I will be getting back to work very soon.  In the mean time here are some orders which headed out all over the US recently.  As always, thank you guys so much!  I completely and genuinely appreciate your business.

Holy name pillows Batman.  And lots of them.

100 Flag Mini Bunting

Africa Tees.  LOVED making these.  I have not had an order for a shirt in a while and the Africa ones are definitely near and dear to my heart!

Key fobs!

Another 8×8 apple canvas!  Love doing these.  Upside down lady not included.

And this was a baby gift set for a friend.  Monogram bib, onesie and small 6×6 canvas.

Thanks to the awesome Randy over at the Orphan Care Network my Contact Laura button is now working, so if you would like to place an order just shoot me a message.

Thanks again so much for all your orders.  You guys are amazing.

Happy Wednesday Night!

Hello Weekend!

It’s a hot Friday night around here.  Tired eyes.  Already laying in bed.  Blogging.  Whoa!

Today we had fun…productive fun.  Which meant running some errands and doing loads of laundry and all kinds of other productivey things.  We even ate lunch at one of my most favorite places…Sams.  I may not have a Sams membership, but I do have my old expired Sams card, which gets us in the doors and eating pizza and the most amazing ginormous icees.  I’m crazy picky about my icee consistency.  It cannot be too runny or it’s just straight up ruined.  It must be high end icee frozen drink consistency and Sams nails it every time.  And their pizza…let’s make out.  The best.  We always skip the individual slices and go for the full blown pizza because A) We like pizza and can easily hammer an entire pie and B) You get fresh, yummy, oh so greasy, ‘get in my belly’ ‘we love your polka dot bottom crust’ pizza.  Now I’ll dream of pizza.

And let’s break the above picture down for a minute.  A few notes:  1) Solomon always will make a goofy face…always.  2)  Harper: adorable, but blinked.  C) Amon is very angry because his pizza is hot and the dinky plastic fork which he refers to as a “poon” will not hold said hot pizza.  The nerve of the Sams cafe workers for making his pizza hot.  #aholes   And then 4) Hudson.  Dude loves his food and doesn’t care if it scalds the roof of his mouth off.  When he’s in the zone, he’s in the zone.

In other news, more orders were completed as well.  I’ve had a slammed packed week.  Working like crazy.  These are all headed out to Mississippi, Missouri, Minnesota, Idaho and Ohio.  I love it.  Thank you so much for ordering and trusting me to create unique and special items for you!  It’s such an honor.

18×18 50th wedding anniversary.  I love hearing all the ideas customers have for a piece and then putting their ideas into action.

4×12 Mumford and Sons canvas

And name pillows…lots and lots of name pillows.

Thank you again so very very much.  You are keeping my mind and hand creating.

Now I think I’m going to get even more crazy and close my eyes.  Going to bed at 10:20 on a Friday night…this kind of thing never happens.  Watch out!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Friday!
