Hitting The Road

I came home the other night and saw this on our chalkboard.

I asked Josh what the huge list was all about and his response was, “I was just taking inventory.”  The superhero’s and their alter egos are becoming a little daunting for our old brains 🙂

We got a super awesome package yesterday from my friend Carol in Texas.  Carol is such a kind and encouraging soul.  My kids were beyond thrilled with all their goodies.  Carol hooked them up with all kinds of nature items so they can investigate any future bird eggs they find in our yard.

And she sent me some of my most favorite eggs  🙂

Thank you so so so much Carol.  As always, you are way too kind to our family.

Today I’m hitting the road and heading to Memphis and then in the morning, my cousin Rebecca and I will drive the 9 1/2 hours to Kansas for Craft Weekend.  Oh the excitement.

Sol and I did a little snack shopping for our fun road trip.  Is there really such a thing as too many snacks?  I think not.

In my personal opinion, the most vital road trip snack is Jelly Bellys.  We are talking about true, true, smitten love here.

We also got to have a special lunch date with Josh today.  Sol was thrilled…can you see it?  Can you see the love here?  Oh, it’s big.

And because it’s such a happy day…I had to rock my Happy Day Necklace from Noonday Collection.  If you don’t have one, you should.  It’s glorious!

So I’m easing my nerves…trying to bring my excitement down a notch.  It’s been a pretty good day and a good day is one to be thankful for…and I am.

Next stop…Craft Weekend.  Beyond thrilled.
