Back To Life

Thank you for all the sweet comments and emails and FB messages about Amon…we think he is pretty stellar too!  Now that we are back to regular day life waiting for our embassy clearance to bring him home, we’re gearing up for baby world again.  We couldn’t be anymore excited about it.  And once we get him home, I will be re-opening for orders.  I’m rather thrilled about it, but just need to get him home first :)

My friend Jess gave me a super sweet burp cloth and it dawned on me…I’m going to need burp cloths again!  Holy cow, I have totally forgotten about all the baby things we will need.  If you have any recommendations for “must-have” baby items, I would totally appreciate them.  But I did make up some sweet burp cloths for him, including a much appropriate superhero burp cloth.  The boys loved it.

When we got home last Wednesday I was opening mail when I opened a card from my Aunt Linda…it was an anniversary card.  Our 9 year anniversary was the next day.  Josh and I both laughed because we had completely forgotten our anniversary.  Needless to say it was a really low-key anniversary…complete with store bought Hershey pie…a long time Laura & Josh dessert that we have eaten a million times over the last 9 years.  Nothing but fancy for #9.

We spent our anniversary night at the ballpark watching Josh play.  To say that I completely LOVE watching him play baseball is a huge understatement.  I adore it.  The kids love being at the ballpark too.

Normal life has returned.  All the regular everyday things are taking place while we wait.  Like grocery shopping…

and breakfast, lunch and dinner together around our table…

and playing and toys littered everywhere…

and Target trips for baby items and $1 bin finds…

and getting over jet lag.  I didn’t think we had jet lag…until about 3 days after we landed.  Is that normal?

So we’re waiting out this last little bit of time doing everyday things and praying like crazy for the fastest embassy date EVER!!!  It could totally happen.  I’m trying to keep my emotions roped in tight and working on my patience :)   We need our little guy home asap!

Hope you had a grand weekend…Happy Monday.

Laura, so happy for you and your family and so glad you had a smooth trip! Amon is beautiful! I remember when we got home I thought, geesh I am feeling pretty good and I couldn’t understand what was wrong with my husband who couldn’t stay awake. Well, he returned to normal and about a week after we got home, I crashed and could not even read a book to my girls at LUNCHTIME without falling sleep! Praying for a quick Embassay appt!

He’s so, so cute. My MUST HAVE baby item has got to be my Ergo baby carrier! If you don’t already have one you NEED get one. Run, don’t walk to your computer and order one immediately! Amon will love it and you’re hands will be free to help your three other littles.
