So here we are…surgery week. I should probably be on blood pressure medicine. We had a normal family weekend, but also tried to wrap some things up before we head off to the hospital for a few weeks.
Harper’s school has a big fundraiser at the beginning of October. They have tons of family fun, along with lots of great items up for silent auction to raise money for the school. Each class puts some sort of basket up for grabs in the auction and I am in charge of Harper’s classroom basket. I decided to do an art basket, so this weekend was filled with creating…good, therapeutic creating.

It was an amazing weekend full of color and dark stained finger tips. By the end of Sunday I had all the canvases complete, set up in an old vintage suitcase and ready to wrap in cellophane. For you locals…mark your calendar for Saturday, October 6th. Here’s what will be up grabs…all together. You are sure to get a great deal.
8×8 “Today I Will Choose Joy” canvas

8×10 “Proverbs 31:10″ canvas

4×12 “Where You Invest Your Love” canvas

12×12 “Names Of Jesus” canvas

12×12 “Burn Brighter Than The Sun” canvas

11×14 “Be Motivated By Love and Compassion” canvas

8×24 “Be Bold” canvas

I can’t even begin to explain how good it feels to create like this again. Mass art volume. Working imagination. So, so good.
On another note…Sol got creative on his legs this weekend too. He got the leg scrubbing of a life.

We also have a little moth visitor in our house…for a good 5 days now. Josh and I keep finding her in different places. Neither one of us have the heart to kill her now because the wee Kelleys have named her Molly. Huddy asked for a pet for his birthday…done!

And check out this guy. I know. The striped tank. The shorts. The belly. The socks. The hair. The adorable chunky arms. And of course, that stinkin’ cute face. It’s too much. I know.

Hope you had a good weekend too. And hope your Monday is grand.
Happy Monday!
