Ace of Hearts

Harper finished up Gym & Swim camp today.  If you are local you MUST check it out.  She had an absolute blast swimming, playing tons of active games and canoeing everyday.  She may even be venturing back for another week.  One thing I love is that everyone gets an award at the end of the week.  Harper was super proud of hers.

The boys spent a good part of their day shooting and sticking nerf darts to the wall.  Sometimes the things they think to do baffles me a bit, but I do so love their little brains.

I’ve got so many thank you notes to write for sweet baby gifts.  Oh how I love Target…they seriously have just about everything.  Including a great stationary section :)

We are getting really good at waiting.  One of the wee Kelleys asks every single day, if today is the day Amon comes home.  I don’t think an airport reunion is going to get much sweeter than this one…especially for Harper.

Isn’t it crazy how an everyday object that meant nothing to you, in an instant…a life change…can become such an important symbol.  The anchor never meant a thing to me until Mom died…now it’s literally tattooed on my wrist.  I have now become quite smitten with the ace of hearts.  Just a playing card, but now a sweet symbol for our newest little guy.

I’m starting to collect ace of hearts cards…sooooo shoot me a message if you have any incomplete decks laying around, I would gladly pay to take the ace of hearts off your hands.

Amon has consumed our hearts.  I think about him all.the.time.  Trying not to make this kid an idol :)   More prayers are being poured over our boy than I ever would have imagined.  Holy Moly…I just cannot wait to hold him again.  We’re talking, serious sweetness.

Today I made an art piece for his little corner of the boy’s room.  I’m totally digging it.  It made me feel at ease and like he was just in the next room.

This kid is so loved.  We are so blessed.  God is just too good.  One more step to go.  One more wait.  Then Amon will be home.  The thought of walking through that airport with our sweet, sweet boy makes my heart just swell.  I am beyond ready to start another new beginning with Amon along for the ride.

Happy Friday!

Rest assured that deep down in his precious little heart, Amon is ready for you, too!! Just as God has prepared you; He is preparing him. He is such a blessed little boy to have had you picked to be his Mom!! My thinking is that it will have been worth the wait…for all six of you!! God bless you, Laura!!

I’ve been meaning to ask you ~ what kind of stamps do you use for the letters on your art? Did you make them yourself? Love the new piece for little Amon!

Kirsten…I have some that I made, some my sil gave me YEARS ago and the rest my cousin Rebecca bought at a yard sale for me. None of them have packaging…other than plastic baggies…they are sad :) Sorry I don’t have any official names for you. Check out your local craft stores though…they usually always have a stamp section.
